I adore this place. There are private spots to go sit with a friend or a good book. My family also loves sitting at the bar and watching people come and go while we eat. The bagels are delicious (the BELT is my favorite) for breakfast and for lunch, and the staff are always friendly. I'm so glad we have a place like this in Purcellville!
I think silly as it sounds bagels are a personal preference to a lot of folks based on how they were introduced to them. At the risk of being scandalous, I actually prefer my bagels not too bready/chewy. These bagels are pretty much perfect to my preferences--a lovely bit of chew with a light crisp when toasted. Perfect for sandwiches (in my opinion!) as the thickness of the bagel will not overwhelm the filling or squish it out. The flavors of the bagels themselves are quite good,...
BKD bagels are delicious. The staff is excellent. I must absolutely commend the two people that took care of me: Caitlin and Maddie. Both were outstanding, made great suggestions on what bagels and what sandwiches I should have. Also the interior of the Purcellville location is just delightful.
