My experience here was terrible. I'm sure the older lady with a bob was racist because she had an attitude the moment we stepped in and poured us the least wine out of everybody at the counter in addition to other comments. She made an effort to pour even glasses for other people who came after us, even over-pouring and opening a new bottle. She served us the bottom of a bottle with all the sediment, poured us only 3oz (almost half what she served others), gave us attitude about our selection, accused us of not being club-members, shorted my change because she wanted to "challenge herself" (her attitude was so bad we didn't want the rest of our change and just wanted to leave), and made us wait over 20mins to create a tab. We were courteous the entire time but we will never be back! She even accused us of stealing to our other friends of the same party. Overall, it was a terrible experience and the people working there need a lesson in professionalism.
Stunning views, great wine and an amazing bread snack!
Staff is super friendly, excellent wines (flight option is great). Bread! WOW!!
The worst experience, bad service, there are not the full prices on the menu. the people who attend do not advise you. besides that they serve hot wines. 1 is too much rating. with the answer I received I realize that they do not have the customer's account, I have photos and the payment of the day I was, in short I will surely not return. I insist that bad customer service has.
We had a great time here in this winery. The staff was really helpful and the wine tasting list was really nice. The bread was also a gem! We arrived a little late in the day so it was not too packed.
Excellent wine, Excellent service, Beautiful atmosphere and environment.
Sunset Hills Vineyard is one of our favorite places to go. There are a lot of vineyards to visit in Virginia. The wine is good (not saying it is the best), the atmosphere is welcoming, but what separates it from the rest are the staff. You could not find a friendlier group of people at the Ritz Carlton. If you make the effort to visit, you won’t be disappointed.
I recently hosted a birthday party at Sunset Hills Vineyard at the recommendation of a friend and could not have had a better time! I wanted to write this review to express my gratitude for my unforgettable experience. Even weeks before my event, Aubry handled my reservation graciously and answered my many questions promptly, helping me to secure a dog-friendly spot for about 10-12 guests total. When I finally arrived on the day of the event, I was floored by how picturesque the property was and how warm and inviting the staff was. My friends and I got so many beautiful pictures! I was greeted by Dave, and he showed me to a charming little shady grove area that they had saved for me. The area was large enough to accommodate probably 15-20 people, and off to the side of property to allow for privacy. Throughout our event, Ben and Zenaya checked on us frequently to make sure we were doing alright and accommodated all of our requests. We also had a chance to do the wine tasting inside, and I personally loved all of the wines! There was not a single bad wine we tried in my opinion. Some of the guests that were also there saw us celebrating and even gifted us some bottles for us to enjoy! All in all, I think this will be a birthday I will never forget. THANK YOU! We will definitely be back :)
The place is beautifully decorated and the outdoors is lovely, with different spots to sit at, a fountain and much greenery. My only complaint is that for $10.60 a glass I got a very little pour. Maybe it was the few sips of samples I tried before I chose that got calculated in, or the fact that the bottle was completed and the bartender didn’t want to open another one, but I feel that I could have get a bit more generous treatment. Food is quite expensive.
My husband is a history teacher and we both truly enjoy the art of wine. The service and stories we received at our tasting ( I hate iforgot his name ) will be an experience we both will never forget the description and love we felt with the tasting was uncompared to other tastings we have had. Thank you for the amazing wine and the even better experience!

Olivia was the absolute best. She really made our experience unreal and dealt with my crazy family. Liquid artist for sure.
Really happy with the service and the tasting flight here ($22/person). Try the warm bread! So good
