The food was excellent and my server did a good job. However there were several people sitting at the bar that were drunk, loud and out of control. Some of them were employees. Their language was horrible and I ate my dinner as they loudly discussed women’s nipples. So inappropriate in a restaurant! If I ever return, it definitely won’t be for dinner if this is how the restaurant is allowed to operate. I ate my entire meal listening to ongoing cursing in every sentence and other vulgarities. If the food wasn’t so good I would have walked out. The owners need to take a long look at their staff before the full season starts or you’ll be loosing a lot of business.

I had lunch at Leadbellys and ordered a chicken salad sandwich, onion rings, and a drink. The staff was fantastic and attentive. I will definitely return. Also, something was mentioned about opening for breakfast. We need a good place for that here.

This is one of our favorite spots. Comfy. Delicious. And friendly. Sit on the porch and relax and talk to your neighbors. The food is amazing. It is really freshly cooked. It takes time but what’s the rush? Enjoy all this cozy Place has to offer. I have had fried green tomatoes. Flounder. Alligator bites. Onion rings. Cole slaw. Meatloaf. All good. All home made. And make sure to stick your head over the half door to the kitchen and tell the kitchen staff Thank You!!!

Great place to eat, enjoy the food, and relax. Van pull up in the boat and get gas. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff.

We enjoy a delicious meal at Leadbelly’s the other night. We rented a cabin for the weekend and needed a place for dinner and this was one of the recommendations. It was perfection. We had a seat by the window to watch the water and the boats. The waitress was so sweet and helpful although she did like everything on the menu. She might not be wrong about that. We had a salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Loved the dressing. Maybe homemade? I had softshell crabs and they were perfection.2 perfectly fried crabs that were crispy and moist. My friends shared a plate of crabcakes which came with 2 large crabcakes plus the sides. The bread is delicious and I even dipped it into the raspberry vinaigrette (don’t judge it was great!) We took back a cod sandwich for the husband which he also enjoyed.The prices are reasonable and if we ever were in the area we would definitely go back again. Did I mention how great our waitress was? And that by the time I write this she may have become a mother already? They tell me it’s a locals spot but we felt very welcomed and I think you would too.

I was a little skeptical after reading some negative reviews but we decided to give it a shot. Our waitress was great, we loved the atmosphere, the food was timely and excellent. I had the steamed shrimp & my husband had fried oysters. We are from out of town but if I lived local, I would def eat here often!
