I had the pleasure of visiting The Railway Depot on the way home this past weekend from a trip we took with friends to Grundy. The food was absolutely amazing and made me feel like I was at home. Personally I had the roast beef and gravy over my fries and some fried okra. And let me tell you… it was delicious. I was even lucky enough to get some of the peanut butter pie to go! Our friend stumbled upon this gem before us and talked about it all weekend so I just had to stop by and try it! We will most definitely be back again. My husband loved the hamburger steak and pintos with cornbread. I also want to point out how kind and welcoming the staff was. Unfortunately I did not make it to the salad bar but from what I could see it looked amazing as well! Parking was even pretty easy with the way the street is set up. And we had a truck and trailer. So for anyone wondering where to stop and grab a bite… The Railway Depot is the way to go! It’s worth it!!

Not impressed! When the owner and waitress neglect the customers to enjoy darts. The staff appeared more important than customers. I asked more than once for my salad and it never came. Last time they get my money. Way over priced for box food. Very bland.

Stopped here on our way through Richlands. Reba was great, and suggested great menu items. I got the bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries and everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted great. Didn’t have room for dessert but will definitely be back!

Happened upon this great little place on a late evening trip through Richlands. I had a pork chop that was out of this world, tender, flavorful and prepared just right. Paired with gravy and biscuits and fried eggs. No room for dessert on this trip. I will have to get that on the next trip because I will be back.

Love this place! They have everything! Breakfast all day, pizza, the hard to find Monte Cristo sandwich, hand dipped ice cream, daily specials, and a full bar. Mike and Reba are very friendly, and all staff provided great personable service. Great place for a meal or to enjoy a live band with drinks and good company.

I was informed my server doesn't get to keep the tip we gave. This is outrageous and wrong.. I already paid for my meal.!! That money was for my servers wondering service not for you to steal from them. We will never ever be back after this. Shame on you!

Our son goes to college in the area, so we've now made our second stop through here. Chicken fried steak is great, crisp and crunchy exterior seasoned nicely, juicy on the inside, nice gravy. Mac and cheese is good, so are the mashed potatoes. Wings are good flavor, but if you like them crispy say so up front because they don't come that way normally. Dumplings in the chicken and Dumplings were nice, but the dish as a whole was a little underseasoned. Good spot to stop, and I'm a sucker for anyone that serves breakfast all day.

Overpriced, and so inconsistent! Food is greasy, and bland! We’ve tried this place a few different times, and are always disappointed.

I worked at the railway depot at the beginning of this year and I just want the customers to know that anything you tip your waitress, they have to hand it straight to the owner. the waitresses don't keep any percentage of the tips. so if you decide to leave money on the table, let's say you leave 20 or 40 or a good amount for a tip because your waitress did such a good job and you just wanted to show your appreciation. well the waitress takes the tip and puts it in a bucket designated for that which gets collected every night by Reba or Miranda and put in the safe for their own expenses. and the waitress isn't allowed to tell you any different, they let you keep believing the tip goes to the server so that you will still tip. and that's not okay, they are lying to you and committing wage theft toward their employees. not to mention they work there servers to death and treat them poorly on top of that, it's a slap in the face to keep money that was meant for them. and it sucks for a customer to hand you money and tell you that it's because they were very satisfied with your service and they want you to keep it and you have to say thank you and smile all the while knowing it's going to the restaurant. don't tip the servers here. hopefully this makes them stop stealing from their servers so they can keep their tips again .
