Went to this location at 10:30pm tonight 8/16/2025, and after an extended wait of 5 or so minutes without a person in sight, the 1 person that was eventually in eye shot flat out ignored us. Being that he was pushing a mop we tried asking if someone could help us with some blizzards (even though we were hoping to get some hot food as well if it was available) and he literally turned his back to us and kept mopping and did not acknowledge we were there. So 1 star for food because we did not get any, should be zero stars for service since there was less than none, and the atmosphere was not inviting or welcoming given the situation. Thoroughly dissapointed in the employees. And good luck to the 2 car loads of people that went in as we were leaving

It's 2025, I have 0 expectations for any corporate fast food restaurant these days. You get what you get, and you don't get upset!

And yet, the DQ in Rocky Mount surpassed any expectations I WOULD have! Quick, kind, efficient service. Good, fresh, hot food and an ice cold freeze to top it off! Totally unexpected! Thank you!

The food at the Ferrum Dairy Queen is always pretty good and consistent, no complaints there. The staff is friendly and courteous every time I visit. However, the drive-thru has become a real pain lately. The last 5 or 6 times I’ve gone, I’ve been told to “pull up to the yellow pole” and ended up waiting 10–15 minutes, even when there’s no line. It’s called “fast food” for a reason, and sometimes I’m in a bit of a hurry, hence using the drive-thru. I like this DQ, but the wait times are getting ridiculous.

Have been enjoying this place for many years! I have yet to be disappointed! This DQ offers the coke freestyle machine, which is another reason I opt for this DQ.
