Dudley's Truck Stop on 220 in Rocky Mt., VA is a great place to eat for country style home cooked comfort food. I got the catfish with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was delicious, especially the grilled buttered rolls. My sister loved her hamburger steak as well. My husband got a vegetable plate and really liked all of his veggies. I recommend trying the chocolate peanut brownie as it was tasty. The staff was very friendly and our server was very attentive and friendly....
I found this place wonderful, perhaps a little old-fashioned, which makes me think of the 40s or 50s, but the staff was very friendly and the food was good. I can go back, of course. Also, although it's not a large area, overnight parking is free.
Great hidden gem if you want good hot, fresh home cooked food! Breakfast, lunch, dinner all available, anytime. Simple quaint atmosphere, with some pretty cool local wall history and memorabilia. Chicken and dumplins off the hook good, and alot of county sides. Catfish awesome, and you can get extra filets for a charge, well worth it!! Hamburger and Club sandwiches look great! Not sure of the Truck Shop hours, but look like they do tires, etc..
