Small diner with a limited menu but surprisingly good food. Service was great. Dining room was clean. Club sandwich was great; fresh and tasty. Entrance to the bathrooms is outside on the side of the building. The bathrooms were small and very old with peeling paint and water stains, but the toilet and sink were clean.

I'm surprised that they have yet to hange the restroom from outside to inside.

When they say it's a good burger, they aren't kidding. If you want a well made hamburger or cheeseburger that's juicy and cooked perfectly, go here. It may look smaller than you'd expect, but it's thick and as good as or better than the best homemade ones. Absolutely worth the trip!
This is clearly a town favorite where everyone knows everyone, but clearly everyone is welcome. Our waitress was helpful and swung through often to make sure we were set. Great service!

Had breakfast. The country ham was excellent and more than I could eat. Got a box to go. Eggs were cooked just right. They would have gotten the highest possible rating except the fried potatoes were not even warm. I didn't have to get them reheated. Quick service and fair prices.
Great diner food at great prices. They even have Salmon Patties and offer Deviled Eggs as a side! When was the last time you saw either of those on a menu?

The staff was friendly and the food was decent. But the building doesnt feel clean or well kept. The ceiling above the tables is caked in dirt/dust and what i can assume is mold from water damage, it makes you feel like no matter how good the food is, Something gross is gonna fall right down into it. If that was fixed and the place given a nice deep clean. Im sure id go back. Until then, if i cant guarantee the places i can see are clean, i cant guarantee the places i cant see are either. I wont be back, but try it for yourself

After living in the Rustburg area for almost 15 years I finally stopped in to grab a lunch at this place. After hearing from the friendly lady behind the counter that their cheeseburgers were top notch, I decided to go with a cheesy western. Boy oh boy am I kicking myself for not trying this place years ago! It was great! Excellent, inexpensive food combined with friendly staff, and retro look make the courthouse cafe a can't miss. Do yourself a favor and try it. You won't regret it.
