“We’re full time travelers so I try to leave reviews where we go. This place was small but really cute. The staff was very friendly, the food was great and the prices were good. My husband and I ate dinner for $34 and I had a beer too. Would definitely recommend and go back. No complaints.“

“Be sure you have lots of time if u visit Al Ryan's as he makes everything fresh. The food was wonderful and u can tell it has been prepared just for you. Al gave me some Curry to sample and it was amazing. wonderful spice pallet. the lamb used in the dishes was prepared perfectly. It was moist and savory just like I remember it in New York. Al is a wonderful guy and deserves your business.“

“I gotta say customer service, food quality, and seasonal menu items have improved over the last 2 years. Been going to this location for years to dine-in or use curbside to go for carryout. With the price increases in fast food chains, Applebee's has been a better option if your not in a rush. They had a special that gives this huge sandwich (burger or chicken), fries, and a drink for 9.99 that had me stuffed. Sometimes you can add flavors to their lemonade like blue raspberry. Cocktails are decent, but they stop serving alcohol 30 minutes before they close, same as most places in Lynchburg for last calls. I showed up on St Patrick's day but late like 10:40pm so I tried out the new lemonade since I couldn't order a beer and it was yummy. My favorite dish is the chicken fried wonton tacos! Everyone was super nice to me despite me showing up 20 minutes to closing and my food was excellent and came out faster than expected.

“Really great idea to have a little express coffee shed! Love the ease of access for drive through. I got a vanilla latte w/ oat milk (just ok; kinda bland) & chocolate covered espresso beans (ahhhmazing).
Would return but would try another sweeter/more flavored coffee! Only other idea for improvement would be to modernize/ update the shed to make it look a little more appealing to customers.
Parking: 2 drive through lanes so no need to park. Nearby parking is ample & available but not a dine-in restaurant it appears.“

“Good service when dining in, and very fast when ordering to-go. If you don't in on a weeknight you may be pleasantly surprised at just how quickly you get your food, but on the weekends expect a regular wait time. For something a little more authentic, try the Chilaquiles (spicy) or the Tacos Al Pastor with Horchata as your drink! The fajitas are really good, and enough food for one parent to share with two little kids as long as you ask for more tortillas.“

“My experience at Shoemakers was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I knew that I was in for a treat. From the charming ambiance to the attentive service to the most amazing culinary experience. The duck confit was delicious! Every bite was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. It was the best that I've ever had, And the Belgium chocolate mousse was incredible, rich and creamy, yet light and delicious. Shoemakers exceeded all my expectations, it's not often that you find a place where every element comes together so perfectly. I'll be recommending it to all my friends and family.“

Update - 5/4/2025. When our first choice for Sunday morning was full at 11 am, we very much enjoyed RA. The eggs on the eggs benedict were perfectly done, the cheese fritata was huge and delicious, and the restaurant was quiet and relaxed. Thanks!“

Bartender terrible took my order for food, and my friend said he wasn't ready yet. She said no problem, I'll be back 8 minutes later, she came back with my salad. Then left and came back and took my friends order. 15 minutes later, he got his burger. I'll just say if you don't like your job, get the hell out the bartender business and go sit behind a desk. She had a terrible attitude.“

“I went to Outback for the first time in about a year, and I was very impressed. My steak was cooked perfectly, the kitchen was efficient, and service was top-notch. He was attentive to all of his tables, making sure that we had everything we needed all while handling more difficult customers in the table behind us. “Scoreboards has a very inviting group of servers, kitchen staff, and security. Each employee interacts with the customers in a friendly manner, no matter the age, race, or creed. “The charm & delight of this restaurant is tucked behind their unassuming storefront. I bring out of town guests to this hidden gem of a spot regularly because their food is delicious and always served an prepared with love. Proper dishes are out and cleared in etiquette for each course & beers are presented in chilled glasses. The experience is truly luxurious. My only wish is that Lynchburg could patronize this establishment enough to convince them to move to a downtown venue or to give them the income to spruce up their store front. I hope Milan is in the area for many years to come. Thank you for the great food and service at a friendly price.“

“TL:DR - variety of SE Asian food on the menu with good service and okay atmosphere.Not bad, but not to the point where I want to go back to try the same menu. The restaurant has variety, so I would like to try more things. I have tried Pad Thai, but I guess it wasn't up to my standard. The taste was there though if you want to just turn of your craving. Tom Yum soup was good. The flavor was there. Penang curry was hard to tell how good it was because we ordered it Thai spicy, so majority of taste was from the spice rather than the curry. They are spicy indeed and I have normal Korean spice tolerance. Pad Kaprow was a good menu. Not to the point that I would get it again, but it was worth trying. My friend enjoyed the samosas that were in the vegetable platter. I personally did not find anything particularly outstanding yet. Service was good. Our server was a Liberty University student, and he was friendly. I thought the restaurant was a bit messy, and I think that is because they blocked a section of their restaurant with chairs as soon as you walk in with no sign to show why. Otherwise, the decor and setting up a wide space in the middle with tables close to the wall was a very good choice of the restaurant.
