Cool place. Crazy flavors. Passed thru. About 2 miles off the express way. Very kind staff. All smiles. Super happy stopping here. Saving as a favorite for future road trips. Highly recommend.

We got a cappuccino and a Chai Tea Latte, both were š² incredible. Great flavors and smooth. The decorations all around were relaxing and inviting. The wall art, in the sitting area, is for sale. Enjoy businesses that support other small businesses! A great detour off I-95 in VA. They have some great selections of pastries and food.

Coffee was delicious. I didn't care for my sandwich, but the bread was really good. I will get a grilled cheese next time. I'm sure it will be yummy.

Stopped in on my way through the area for a quick lavender latte. It was excellent. Great service. Short wait. Clean shop and bathroom.

Cute little coffee shop. Chicken pesto was very good.
Adorable little spot! Whimsical, comforting, and the perfect stop for a breakfast sandwich to start the day. Came here with a co-working who lives in the area and has been telling me about it for weeks. Loved it, and will definitly be back.

I visited about 1.5 hrs before close (4:30p) and was the only other customer there. I promptly ordered and sat and waited for a short time for drinks and 2 sandwiches. EVERYTHING WAS FRESH AND ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Even if you donāt want coffee, the paninis are to die for, seriously. My little girls had the strawberry fruity smoothie and it was all gone now in a few minutes.
This was my very first visit but it is definitely not going to be my last. We typically have to drive anywhere from 20-30 min for the average competitor coffee and itās not as welcoming as this place is PLUS IT FEELS NICER TO SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS.
Visit this Shop! Iām very satisfied.

Iāve visited a handful of times. My drink never comes out the same, most of the time the drink (a latte) comes out watery and unmixed. The atmosphere is ok, the music can be too loud and they have an annoying security system that goes off way too often. Definitely wouldnāt recommend it for studying or meeting a friend. I really wouldnāt recommend it at all. The mix house in bowling green is a great alternative.
I also drink my drinks fast, the drink was just bad.

I paid $5 for a small matcha latte & it's barely even tinted green. Tastes basically like just milk. Kinda crazy
Cute place, especially to come and stay for a bit. Friendly staff. Slow service for a cappuccino. My dad and I ordered baked items (good scones and muffins) as well which was quick. However, the 4 people that ordered after us got their drinks (lattes, breakfast sandwiches and coffees) before us. Waited about 10 minutes for my cappuccino. Not a good look from a customer service standpoint.

Will the third time be a charm or a confirmation?
I can't answer how the food is because the service is pathetic.
Since they've opened, we've never been served.
The first time was their grand opening. Fine, we had waited 15 minutes, but we figured they were rushed and inexperienced so we'll come back another time.
Few months later, the second time we visited, they acknowledged us, but then went back to some 'team meeting' behind the counter with no further acknowledgement towards us. We waited another 7 minutes and then walked out. Perhaps a "CLOSED" sign would help so people's time is not wasted. We can understand Mom & Pop's have to get everyone on the same page with limited time and resources. Still, they need to acknowledge their customer base in a timely and professional manner.
Third time's a charm? Not even sure how long they've been opened now. First two times left a bad taste, so we can try again. Third time's a charm??? Fingers crossed.
We had no power in the community so we popped over for a coffees and pastries for our organization's "Power's out, we can't do anything else, so let's have an impromptu team meeting."
We walked in. Stood within 5 feet of the cash register waiting for another customer to finish their order. There were only three of us on this side of the counter. The other customer, me, and my colleague who was there to help carry our office order. Both staff were chatting with the other customer (turned out it was about anything but ordering food). The customer acknowledged us. The customer even said, "I should get going. I think they want to order."
From the person working the back of the house, "It'll be fine. Keep going [with her story]."
We didn't know if it was something important so we waited a little longer and had scooted to less than three feet from the register--the other customer moved over to the right a bit and that had allowed access to the register for us to order. But still, we were not acknowledged for our order. The customer looked over her shoulder and said, "I should really get going. They probably want to order." We made eye-contact and politely smiled at each other. I nodded my head in gratitude.
We did. We did want to order. We wanted to order coffee and breakfast treats for our office meeting. Our time is finite. We had to get back to the office. Our time was ticking down. I took a small step towards the register to have the cashier look back over her shoulder towards the person in the back of the house as if looking for permission.
The back of the house person have her a look and went back to talking with the other customer. The cashier looked back at us as if she were trapped. We walked out.
We ended up going elsewhere. Probably saved a bunch of our petty cash too--Common Grounds is a little pricey, but we like to support small local businesses. I digress.
So ya. Third strike no different than the last two. You know what they say about insanity...Going back to Common Grounds is insane if we expect a different outcome.
Apparently I'm not the only one who feels this way. Neighborhood rumor is they had to cancel their Monday morning reading group maybe due to this attitude towards folks who don't look like them (?) I guess. I mean maybe they're from the sundown town that's right near this location.
Regardless. Third time was not a charm. It was a confirmation.
When they go low...
Vegetarian options: Don't know. They never serve us.
Dietary restrictions: Don't know. They won't serve us.
Parking: We don't know how anything is because they won

The atmosphere and location is great. The food and coffee is good. The women that are closer to middle age customer service is better and warmer than the younger women. I took a friend to Common Grounds and she was so put off by the young staff customer service. I noticed it too. I told her the middle age women's customer service was great and hopefully we get the middle aged ladies next time. She agreed she would try again.
FYI, a faux fireplace against the brick wall in the corner would be stunning!
