Lovely pitstop on the road from DC to Chapel Hill. Very friendly owner , cute atmosphere, delicious grilled cheese and latte! A very refreshing change from the fast processed food “restaurant” chains. Delightful!!
Cute place, especially to come and stay for a bit. Friendly staff. Slow service for a cappuccino. My dad and I ordered baked items (good scones and muffins) as well which was quick. However, the 4 people that ordered after us got their drinks (lattes, breakfast sandwiches and coffees) before us. Waited about 10 minutes for my cappuccino. Not a good look from a customer service standpoint.
The atmosphere and location is great. The food and coffee is good. The women that are closer to middle age customer service is better and warmer than the younger women. I took a friend to Common Grounds and she was so put off by the young staff customer service. I noticed it too. I told her the middle age women's customer service was great and hopefully we get the middle aged ladies next time. She agreed she would try again.
