Love this brewery
Absolutely fantastic. The beer was good, the bartender was so nice. Finding a place that's pet friendly indoors when it's 35 degrees outside was a lifesaver and the vibes were immaculate. They even gave us a water bowl for our dog. The live music was wonderful and not overwhelming. They let you bring in outside food which is great with so many restaurant options within walking distance. A great way to end the night.
We were in the area for a getaway. Happy we ran across this brewery. Nice vibe, good selection of beers, and the gent behind the bar was both knowledgeable and friendly willing to help us select our choice. Sadly a gentleman at the bar wanted to discuss politics at the top of his lungs, and really was a bit of a damper on the good experience. No fault of the brewery to be clear, just a challenge when you just want to sit down, celebrate some great beers and watch the world go by. Dog friendly also was a big bonus (inside as well!). West coast IPA and German Stout were both great.
Friendly neighborhood bar with an amazing beer selection!
Great selection of local brews and neighborhood bar.
Average small town brewery. We are IPA and red/brown ale people, so not our favorite. The stout was good if that's your flavor. Small inside, several kids probably distracted from our experience. There was a food truck and live music outside.
I have been going here for years. I prefer the Porter or Stout. They only had the Stout on draft. They had the Porter in cans. So I went with the draft. It was a Thursday night so there was an impromptu gathering of local acoustic musicians. The people are friendly and everyone was interacting to the music and to each other. Felt like a regular. They have a good Hefeweizen and while I don’t go for IPAs, they have a selection. Naturally, I can’t wait to go again.
Super cute and staff is friendly! Beer is great and the outdoor patio is beautiful, definitely coming back!!
Great little brewery! Friendly welcoming vibe and people were nice and helpful. The woman at the bar helping me was a complete delight! I ended up purchasing a mixed 6 pack and got to taste the draft version of each one. The price wasn't bad for small craft brews. The beer is good folks! I'll be back. IPA is good and true to the style with a little deeper color than many and a better malty feel. ESB is traditional and overlooked style but really good. And the American Pale Ale is a definite winner. I'll enjoy the rest of my 6 pack for sure. A great place to stop between Charlottesville and Farmville in a great little laid back town on the James River. I'll be back when I have more time and am not driving. Never drink and drive because it will totally mess up your life and future.
The dark beer is to die for!

Nice place, very good beer.
Rotating selection of a local beers, couple crazy options which I think people are getting past that fad now but still simple. Straightforward stuff that I like as well. I like in the pilsner and the brown ale.Good friendly atmosphere, also a couple of corner TVs if you want to watch the game. But certainly doesn't feel like a sports bar.
Great place, friendly staff and excellent beer! Went here on a Thursday afternoon and the folks at the counter were really helpful and friendly. The beer garden in the back was a great place to relax with our kids.
Great atmosphere & great beer. Dogs allowed!
