We had a wonderful experience. Restaurant was spotless. Music in background was real jazz. Our server was excellent and the food delicious. For dessert the bread pudding was yummy.

Know this place for more than 3 years and they were good, not any more. Service is awful with constant nagging " is everything ok?" questions. Seems they know that is not. Asked for lemons for the drink and this is on Saturday @5PM - we are out of lemons. Food. Burger, dry and salty, fries burnt over-salted as well - how would you mess up the burger and the fries in the USA?! On the menu they have sauce aioli is
included, but they do not bring it to you and when you ask they will say that it come with uncharge of $1! Second dish. Creole fried chicken - dry chewy meat and dry rice, sauce on the bottom smeared across the plate not on the top of the rice. All salty. How you can mess the chicken dish?! One reason that I did not complained to the server, we were with friends and did not want to spoil their dinner. Completely degraded place. Shame.

UPDATE (7/13/24)
I've had to revise my review after the arrogant reply I received from the management of the restaurant.
In their reply he/she indicated I did not know what the waitress said to our dinner party (all 4 of us agreed to what she said) and then they implied that our desire to have less than an ounce of a sample of local beer to determine if we wanted said beer was an outrageous request. Then the management mocked us for reading their outdoor sign and thinking that all the selections listed were actually on the menu. Finally, my 'weird' comment (management's wording) about their $12 bruschetta was an attempt to describe the selection since I did not take a photo of it, so I'll try to be more descriptive.
'Their bruschetta was disappointing. What was brought to the table were 8 pieces of extremely thin 'melba toast like crackers that had been burnt. In the center of the plate was a small dish of fresh tomatoes swimming in olive oil with a nice seasoning.'
Hopefully this will clarify my following review.

Cute little place but deceptive. We were a visitor to the town and were intrigued by the sign outside that advertised grilled steak and oysters. Once inside it was very nice with local artists displayed throughout. We ordered the heirloom tomato bruschetta and then looked over the drink menu. We asked to sample one of the local draft brews, but we were denied. They do not allow any tasting, even though it was a draft. The appetizer came out and it was thin, burnt toast with stewed tomatoes....not actually appetising. We then inquired about the grilled steak and oysters (as advertised on the sandwich board outside the restaurant) but we were told that the steak and oysters were not available because they were 'seasonal'. FYI no where in Virginia nor the US is beef seasonal. We left after paying for the burnt toast.

I went here to take my best friend out for dinner. The staff was very attentive and although the waitress got our order wrong, she corrected it quickly. We both ordered the hamburger plate and ordered them pink. The order came with a bacon marmalade, cheese and was pink. It was delicious and came with fries. The cook came out and brought us with samples that were delicious. The cost was $16 each. High some have complained but it is Albemarle County and to be expected. I will return.

We had a delightful meal that was reasonably priced and tasty. The server was cheerful and friendly. I recommend this spot for anyone looking for dining options in the Scottsville area. They also have good prices and choices for wine.

Visiting the area from out of town and decided to try this place. Disappointing to say the least. Food tasted good but the portions were tiny for the price we paid. Shrimp and pork belly dish was $28 for barely any shrimp and the tiniest pieces of pork belly. My friend got the mushroom risotto dish at $19 and finished her plate in about 5 bites.
