Took a long weekend away from the city and ended up here. Surprisingly the food was great, the ambiance was relaxing, and the view was beautiful. The wife and I will definitely be back.

Coming here I really didn't know too much about the winery. I expected a smallish place, and the rolling hills filled with vines leading up to the large building. From their website: "We pride ourselves on creating the finest terroir-driven sparkling, white, and red wines, which have won numerous national and international medals and best-in-class designations. Planted with 227 acres of French vinifera varieties, Trump Winery is Virginia's largest vineyard and the largest vinifera vineyard on the East Coast." Yes, it is worth coming here. Having stayed for a night at the estate I passed on the tasting here and did not need the food either, so I cannot comment on that side of the experience. Otherwise, the gift shop, including the purchase of the Viognier wine I found to be my favorite, was all I was looking for. Service was friendly, and surprisingly low-key. Almost too low-key. When I asked for the wine, there was no push for an upsell on quantity. That's fine for me, but it almost felt awkward asking for three bottles. With Eric Trump being the President (of the winery that is) it was not surprising to see some St. Jude Children's Research Hospital stuff in the gift shop as well.

I have been to this winery once before many years ago and recently revisited this weekend. It's even better than I remember it!! Ample views, vines, seating, and options. -The only complaint I could possibly have are the small amounts of bathroom stalls to the amount of people that visit this location!! I waited a bit to use the bathroom. Upon first walking into the main doors, the gift shop greets you. It's truly difficult not to get carried away with the bottles to take home, luxury bath robes, holiday decor such as ornaments; and pet collars. A couple steps further, and you have an option to move to your left or to your right into different tasting rooms and seating options with views and fire pits that warm up the entire area. I quickly got in line and waited a "normal" amount. It was certainly a busy weekend!! I ordered two tasting flights one red for my fiancé, and one customized flight for myself with sweeter white options and a sparkling rose! Each flight this weekend came with a signature, Trump Winery glass. We opted for a beautiful, larger red wine glass to take home with us. I Each flight had the option to select small pours or larger pours. I opted for the larger. Each flight was more than enough for us! Got a little buzz complimented with little bites to share. I ordered three food options: the charcuterie tray with meat and cheese, the artichoke fritters, and the chimmichurri steak flatbread. I was hungry....and I really fought myself hard to not order more. The options were really fantastic and upscale, even Caviar! The artichoke fritters were my favorite, coupled with a house made tzatziki with dill and garlic. I just might need to try recreate this recipe! The charcuterie has delicious cheese pairings, the smoked Gouda was my favorite! The cornichon pickles were so good! The stone ground Dijon too. The flatbread was crunchy on the edges and full of toppings! Certainly my fiancés favorite. We came the day after Thanksgiving, and it was really nice to see the amount of families throwing the footballs around, playing music, playing card, games, dressed nicely or just casual and of course it was difficult to find good outdoor seating. Also, it was a little chilly plenty of indoor seating was more than enough for us and we were able to walk around and really soak in the views which were really I could not state enough his house stunning the estate is. The service is fantastic. The lady who took my order was very hospitable and we got to talking and she wasn't rushing me to get to the next person. Clearly, customer service and care is important to the team.

Hands down the most beautiful winery in Charlottesville. If you're in the area and are looking for amazing views with some amazing wine this is the place. Now I'm sure half the people won't visit here because of the name blah blah blah. But that's perfectly fine, It leaves the views and good wine for us who do want to enjoy it. Have been here multiple times when visiting the area and I definitely plan on going back in the future! The views are breathtaking. It's easy to just sit there for an hour and just stare off into the distance and just appreciate the beautiful scenery. The staff is always extremely professional and friendly and always goes above and beyond to make the experience top notch. I can't comment on the food as I haven't tried any of it but from what I see other people ordering and smelling it, it has to be good! But hopefully one time I'll give it a try for myself. Overall some of the most beautiful views, amazing wine and deserves every bit of 5/5 stars.

This is the BEST winery in Charlottesville. We were in the area for four days went to several wineries including what is considered cream of the crop... Barboursville and this was by far the best one. 80% of the wine were great, the food was fabulous and the service outstanding. They are in a new building since our last visit, which is super nice. The views are stunning!!! Four of were there and we all felt the same way. Love it!!!

Out of all the wineries in Virginia I've been to this one has amazing views! I many the area have great views but this one takes the cake. The wines are good but definitely not the best. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about wine. Go when the leaves are turning in the fall, you won't regret it.

It's been a number of years since I've been there and the location is now up a giant hill at the renovated stables. It's absolutely beautiful and there is plenty of room to enjoy wine and scenery on any day. The food was disappointing! All of the food comes in disposable packages. For Trump, I expected legit plates. The description of the food is fancy with a variety of tastes, but it's poorly executed with over cooking or tiny portions (the pimento scoop was tiny!). Go for the wine and the scenery, don't bother with the food.

Spectacular grounds on the property of all the grapes very large facility loved it so much we ended up staying three hours. The food there was good to their specialty was sparkling ones which were really good.

WOWZA! That's all I can say when it comes to the VIEW this is by far one of the BEST views of all wineries and the estate is just GORGEOUS! Photos don't do it justice but I tried! Service was fast, two separate bars to go to but all have wine flights and sell by the bottle. The food menu was large but we didn't have any food - just wine! This is a MUST DO on your winery stops!!!

Beautiful views, excellent wine, tho they must work on the service. Hoping to visit again, to try their other selection of wine I didn't try on this visit.

Beautiful landscape!! Service was meh. Nice staff for sure but they don't serve you at your table/seat. You have to go get everything yourself. The food was just like a grocery store charcuterie board on like paper plates. Not as fancy as I would of liked for a winery. But great atmosphere! And such a lovely view. Still worth the trip to go.

Not sure why this is lower rated on yelp. By far the best view, first class facilities, great wine!
