Food tasted exegesis excellent - busy took a minute to get to us. Service was, well... we should have been checked on a little more often. But, we love this place. Smells so good upon entry- and all the twists on traditional southern food, too make it modern and better! Excellent!

Sept 2024 -had a smorgasbord of items my sister and I shared and all was delectable!! Sweet potato ham biscuits with apple butter and molasses, yum! Fried green Tomatoes with pimento cheese, green goddess and micro herbs, sooooo good! Wedge salad, very generous with toppings! And the Southern fried Gent porkchop sandwich with pimento cheese, bourbon blueberry jam...a delicious combination of flavors!!! Omg that was the Creme of the crop!!
Waitress was amazing too!!

Ham chowder and sweet potato biscuits! Yum! Only downfall, hardly in hams and no salt cured. That was sad!!

Ate here with my dad for lunch a couple weeks ago. The food was delicious and our server was so friendly and helpful. I always pick two dishes from a menu and ask the server for their recommendation. She was spot-on with the pimento cheese BLT! The sweet potato fries were also very well seasoned and not mushy. I did order a beer, which took a while to get to the table but that wasn't a huge issue for me. We got there as soon as they opened and by the time we left they were very busy. I would definitely recommend eating lunch here!

We were just walking around town and thought we'd eat here. (3 of us). They were slammed so we walked around longer hoping it would slow down. When wex returned to the restaurant they were just as busy. It was so worth the wait. The service was wonderful, the Food...we could have eaten for hours if possible. This is the place to go.

The hostess dispelled all theories that the young dont work like we did. She was not only adorable , she worked her tail off. Greeting customers, seating them and yes she also brought out plates from kitchen. A great experience. I had a flight of veggies, and fried green tomatoes, my wife had country ham sandwich and fries. All fabulous!!!

My family and I recently visited Taste of Smithfield, and I was thoroughly impressed with the experience! The highlight of our meal was the incredibly tasty Sweet Potato Biscuits. They were perfectly baked, with a delightful blend of sweetness and a soft, fluffy texture. Every bite was a treat, and they paired wonderfully with the rest of the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Taste of Smithfield for anyone looking for a delicious dining experience. Five stars!

Friendly staff and excellent food. They have a really good rotating tap list of mostly local beer.

Our experience was mixed. We were sat in the back in the kids room despite our youngest child being 13 and there being plenty of open seats. Being surrounded by many very young kids wasn’t a great experience. The chipotle Caesar salad tasted like a regular Versace salad and was very dry (server did bring extra dressing) our vegan diner had her meal delivers with cheeses which we had to take off and the pulled pork bbq sandwich was not very good - which was surprising. However our server was really nice and others really enjoyed their food including Mac n cheese, spiced apples, pork chops, tomato soup, curly fries, and tacos.

I enjoyed the soup of the day, ham chowder, very much, and I am so grateful I tried a new dish. The burger was cooked to perfection! My family was very pleased with their Taste Pigtails, the Goat Salad, Castle Sandwich, and Amanda’s Sweet Biscuits.

A large selection of a variety of local peanuts and other tasty snacks available in a tiny shop in the corner of the diner.

We stopped at this charming busy restaurant on our way back home. Devante, our server, was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! The collard greens have a hidden spicy kick. All the employees were cheerful and helpful, including the hard-working cooks. We highly recommend you try this place if you are in the area. Thanks, Taste of Smithfield.
