I met Swète Temptataions Bakery at the Christmas event at LifeCo. Friendly, kind service and a coconut pie that is just as good as my mother-in-laws! (Don't tell my MIL)

This bakery was approached in AUGUST to place the order for this cake. This cake is EXTREMELY important because it's for an amazing person's sweet sixteen, which if you are unsure, only happens once in a life time. The baker of said cake claimed to have a cake ready by the time of the party came, which by the way, is at the end of December. Despite committed to baking the cake, the baker refused to take any down payment and told the family of this person that they would just need to submit the cake's design two weeks prior to the party... well here we are, and now this baker has a planned a vacation this exact week of the party despite the fact this order was in her folder with the family's contact information and still had no plans to tell these clients. This is not just unprofessional, but outrageous. What a way to run a business. If you are considering using this business for cake making, I suggest you don't even waste your breathe on attempting to communicate with the staff. They will not give you the same courtesy.

I have been doing with this business for several years and they have always delivered on quality and service. The cakes have all been custom and been exceeded our expectations on the look and flavor! I will definitely continue to shop here and suggest you do as well!! One of the best in the area and committed to excellence!

Sweet Temptations donated two pound cakes to be raffled for our pantry ministry fund raiser. They also set up a table with bake goods that were completely sold out. Some people purchased one item, and after tasting it came back to purchase more to take home. Also local college homecoming guest, employees, and alumni support all during the year.It's a taste that's like heaven dancing on your taste buds!!!!

I set down with the owner and gave her my ideas for my daughter 21st birthday cake and she nailed it. It also tasted as as it looked!

DO NOT ORDER CUSTOM CAKE HERE. OWNER WILL DECIDE TO GO ON VACATION AND LEAVE YOU HANGING. We had a verbal contract for an event at the end of the year. 3 tier cake for 100 people. Went to the bakery more than 3 months in advance. Sat down had some cake while we waited for the owner to finish an order for another person (did not have an appointment, was told the wait would be about 30 mins, took over an hour). Explained what we needed, decided on flavors, gave a description of decorations desired. Was told a price. We even offered to give a deposit and was told it was unnecessary, and the owner put of information sheet in her binder under December. Was informed that she would need a final design plan and payment about 2 weeks before the event. Called to set up a time to come in with the design and finalize payment since we didn't have over an hour to wait on the baker again. When we called we were told the bakery was going to be closed that week because the owner was going on vacation and they never bothered to contact us, either about getting the design, payment, or their new plans to be unavailable. We even stressed at the first visit that we know it is the week of Christmas and wanted to make sure they were going to be available as another bakery we had talked to told us they close that week every year. The slices cakes we purchased the first visit were good. But very limited in selection. And then to have this experience and now have to try to find a new bakery less than 2 weeks before our event for a custom cake is an almost impossible task with so many other things to still arrange for our event, and Christmas in the middle of it all. So very frustrated. Will never go back here or recommend anyone else go either.

Poor communication. Met months ago to order a custom cake for a party between Christmas and New Year's. Offered to pay for the entire cake in June/July. Was assured they would be open and able to complete the order.Reached out two weeks prior as asked (after hearing nothing from them since the summer) and was informed they are on vacation this week. Never informed me of the change of plans. Now I'm scrambling to find another bakery to help. Go to Pearl's in Richmond instead!

We went to the bakery more than 3 months before our event, had to wait over an hour to talk to the owner which is understandable as we didn't have an appointment, and set together a plan to order a 3 tier, 3 layer cake to feed 100 guests at our daughter's sweet sixteen party. Now, 2 weeks before the event, we have been told they are going on vacation that week. Not happy with having to find a new bakery less than 2 weeks before an event, especially at Christmas time.
