Overall, neat place with decent food. My one complaint is the “steamed shrimp” came coated in Buffalo sauce, even though it didn’t mention it. For me, steamed shrimp is just shrimp and old bay and it was a bit of a surprise.

This wonderful place is close to where I live but never was there until my visitors from NJ took me here for a great dinner. My favorite item was on the menu, soft shell crab with 2 crab cakes. I requested 2 crabs in place of crab cakes. No problem. I will frequent this restaurant many times. The meal & service is also wonderful.

I don’t understand why in the world you would agree to have a Tesla charging station put at your business with no bathroom in safe walking distance and then deny said Tesla drivers access to your bathroom.UPDATE - I assure you, sir, that my bladder cared not for pit stop status of your parking lot connected to absolutely nothing. I painfully held it until I could get as far from your business as possible. Do not worry, I will never be back to your place of business.

Our experience at Kahill's was really good. We ordered the Shrimp Scallop and Lump Crab Alfredo, the Bradshaw Burger and the Prime Rib Sub. The burger was well-done and excellent with the perfect runny egg, a 10/10. The house-made chips were crisp, but needed salt. The pasta dish was creamy with delicious crab and scallops. It just needed a bit of salt. The waitress was excellent. Great experience. Would go there again.

Whomever decided to place Tesla superchargers in the back of the restaurant grounds is a freaking genius. I arrived looking for chargers and left with $50 dollars worth of food. Well not exactly, I did go inside to have a decent makers mark old fashion lol. For the first time in Yelp history I ordered a salad to complement my old fashion. This is literally the first time I posted a picture of a salad but I will say...it wasn't too bad. Items I took to go were calamari, and the bang bang shrimp, and an extra Togo salad...what can I say....I have a thing for salads now. Bang bang and calamari are decent...no preference each would be worth the try....upon entry there a live music set up which is pretty nice...you can immediately tell I wasn't from the area but the customer service was very welcoming. The gentlemen at the bar gave me a small run down and even shook my hand upon leaving and told me safe travels. I believe her name was Lizzy...she was great...she asked me my name...remembered it...and showed me this salt trick to ensure your napkin doesn't stick to your glass...it pays to be a little adventurous and open to new things. Until next time.

Stopped here to charge the car several times already but it was always close because they only opened for dinner. We got here around 5pm so we decided to try it.We ordered blackened salmon and cajun chicken and sausage alfredo. Salmon was supposed to come with vegetables of the day and it was asparagus which I don't eat so I asked for only rice. When food came I was completely shocked. For the price of $26.99 I expected a lot more in the dish. If I didn't want asparagus the restaurant could have offered me something else. It could be some spring mix as it wouldn't cost them a lot more to give it but instead they wanted to charge around $4 for substitution.Salmon was cooked okay but the skin wasn't crispy. Salmon tasted bland and I didn't taste the blackened part of it. The rest was just so simple I could have just cooked this at home for less than $15. It's just salmon on top of rice and a few splashes of Thai sweet & chili sauce you can buy from grocery store. Look at the picture and you can see I wasn't exaggerating it.My husband's plate was cajun chicken & sausage alfredo. According to him, it was like watered down mac&cheese and long-boiled sausage and chicken, everything tasted bland and there was no taste of cajun flavor at all. I tried his food and I could confirm his statement and he rarely complains about food because he's super easy about everything. This has to be our worst restaurant experience ever. Over priced and tasteless food. I gave 1 star just because there's no zero star to give.

So disappointed that I did not discover Kahills until the last day of my trip.?The Atmosphere was good, the service was great and the food was delicious.?A definite DO if you're traveling through VA. on your way to Carolina. Stop in Mecklenburg to try out the food at Kahills. You'll be glad you did.

Good place. Nice hosts. You feel welcomed. Taste food. I tried many times Blackened Salmon very good. Ribay steak very good. And good prices as well. Manager good guy. I have to say only thing I didnt like was, when I received my wine glass it seemed it was just washed and not wiped down so it still had water sprinkles on it. Would ask to pay attention next time.

I have made the drive between Greensboro and Washington DC, many many times. Often my husband and I just grab a quick bite and eat in the car, but when we have a little more time it is nice to actually stop somewhere and enjoy a sit down meal. South Hill, VA is a good stop with many options close to the highway. Kahill's is our favorite. The atmosphere is casual with multiple dining areas as well as seating at the full bar. They do close in the middle of the day between lunch and dinner. We arrived close to the end of lunch shift. There did not seem to be a host. We waited a bit too long be addressed. The people who arrived right before us actually walked out. We ended up being seated and served by the bartender. Though she was doing a lot on her own, she was very attentive to us throughout our visit. This restaurant and pub has a large menu with sandwiches and burgers as well as more fancy entrees like steak and seafood. The specials menu mentioned having Red Pepper Bisque. It was a bit of a cold day, so sharing a bowl of soup with the husband sounded perfect. It was a very hearty, creamy, and therefore tasty soup, with cheese and scallions on top. Nice start to the meal. I was a bit shocked it cost $10 (price not listed on specials menu). I know pricing is going up for everything, but it felt like a lot for soup. For my entree, I got a burger (think it was called the Kay Mountain) with the house chips. When presented with the plate my first thought was that it was a bit of a miss from a visual standpoint. Just kinda white and plain. I appreciated they make the chips in house. They were plentiful and cooked well. I just like my house chips more soft, these, to me, were a bit too much like bagged potato chip consistency. However, I know that is my personal preference. The burger maybe wasn't pretty, but it was darn tasty. It had a nicely cooked fried egg on top that oozed out as I took bites. Nicely roasted vegetables and lots of cheese. The burger just melted in your mouth. Also appreciated they toasted their hamburger bun. Satisfied my burger craving for sure. While my visits are sparse at best. Kahill's has remained a very tasty and a good lunch stop throughout the years. Seems many traveling on Interstate 85 agree. Weirdly enough they also have Tesla charging stations here, so they attract many who drive that vehicle. Whatever it takes right!
