The Backyard Brews & Bites

I'm not sure how they have 4.7 stars, but our lunch was just simply BAD.
Walking up to the place the front door has a sign that directs you around back. Would be nice if there was something before you got to the front door.
You walk in and you order at a counter. One guy working there and he is also the one walking the food out to the patrons, so the line is Slow...
Ordered Pork Belly Bites appetizer, a Reuben, cheese nachos, the Machoo Nachos with pork belly, and a Bavarian pretzel.
Waited outside for a while. Eventually our wives went in to see why so long and then they came out with our food. So the service was nil.
The pork belly bites were not warm and were swimming in grease. Not crispy at all, just a soggy unappetizing mess.
The Cheezy nachos were just bad, and the same for the Macho Nachos. There was something up with the cheese where it tasted a bit sour and was cold and lumpy. The Macho Nachos had the same limp and greasy pork belly pieces on it. I know pork belly is fatty, but alot of this was just fat.
The Reuben was ok, but lacked in sauerkraut and dressing.
The Pretzel was ok but how can you mess up a pretzel...
About the best thing about this place was the outside eating area.
It's a shame because it has potential, but we won't be back.
Also when you order at the counter you pay your bill and your tip. I gave a 20% tip but for what?? We had no service!! I dont know for sure, but it seemed like most things were heated in the microwave. Unfortunately, most of our lunch went into the trash can.

My family and I visited Thursday evening for the first time for my birthday! We absolutely loved our time, food and Sam’s warm hospitality! We will definitely be back and am so glad we found you!!

What a cute spot by the highway. We got beer and good food on our way home to Raleigh. The backyard is amazing. There are tables and benches and TV, even a small stage for live music maybe. Sam is so welcoming and friendly. He is so considerate and really good with kids. We had a great time there.

We stopped in on a Sunday and were so glad we did. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a casual meal outdoors. The outdoor seating was really nice, and there were plenty of things to keep children occupied, which made it an easy and enjoyable stop for families.

My wife and daughter really enjoyed the chicken salad, and I had a French dip that was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The drink selection was impressive with plenty of local brews on tap, and the staff were friendly and attentive. You can tell they truly care about creating a great experience.

A great spot to relax, grab a bite, and enjoy the afternoon.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere, felt like my own backyard! The manger was very polite and helpful he was also very knowledgeable. The pizza was my favorite.

Really great place to have a nice lunch outside during the summer. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and helpful, chicken salad platter is top tier, they have a range of drinks to choose from, and sitting outside in the cozy backyard style patio they have was amazing. I've never been here when they have any events, but I saw a stage. The price is equivalent to the quality - its a great place.

Stopped in for a beer and some food while passing through. I thought it was perfect. Great spot for us and the kids to hang out and play a little. We would definitely stop by again.
