Locally owned and run restaurant Off The Grid practices what it preaches--out back, in a field across the river, they have a huge solar array that powers the restaurant. They also offer EV charging--one tesla charger and another for other EVs I guess. In this county Off The Grid is the go-to place for vegetarian food. They may also be vegan, but I've never asked. The dining room is cozy and you're sure to run into someone you know. In nice weather you can sit out back at picnic tanles or chairs by the river. It's the last restaurant before heading west on Route 211 to Shenandoah Natl Park.
Great place! Outdoor tables near stream, dog friendly, great food, great staff, four EV charging stations (3 Tesla), solar powered facilities. Very enjoyable restaurant.

Our favorite place to have breakfast after camping at big meadows. Very helpful and friendly staff, and the breakfast dishes are fantastic. Fresh baked bread and pastries are a big hit! Highly recommend!

It may be off the grid, but it’s worthwhile to find! Had a delicious Mediterranean plate with falafel, hummus, veggies, and kombucha. Also enjoyed a Mexican taco salad with very tender chicken, and the best espresso this side of the Shenandoahs.

Food was tasty and good. Service was great and fast. Price is reasonable. We got 2 menu items for lunch. But when we had taco bowl and fig Chicken. We see that Chicken in Taco bowl was not good ,(seems like old or spoiled). Chicken in Taco bowl Picture is. attached. Healthy can drink is served. Other meal was great

Stop in for a cup of coffee to go and also got a lemon bar. The lady that served me not sure if she's the owner but she was very nice the coffee and the lemon bar were great I will be stopping by when we make our trips to Luray we will be moving there next year this will be a great stop for us on the way definitely recommended

Stopped here for breakfast after a hike. The food was yummy, coffee delicious and the owner wonderful. She helped us out of a pinch with one of our kids by being flexible in getting us something we needed at the time to help. We will go back in the future, hopefully for lunch or dinner.
The sandwiches and kombucha we had were delicious. The tofu bahn mi was delicious. The outdoor, dog friendly, seating was absolutely serene.

Such a lovely place with outstanding service! The breakfast was everything I hoped for—the salmon was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the bagel was perfectly crispy and flavorful. I’ll definitely be coming back.

A great place to stop for lunch on the way to Shenandoah National Park. The food is great, there is an outdoor seating area near a stream, and a mini store with some souvenirs and other things. A cool thing about this place is that it is actually off the grid, in the outdoor area, across the stream you can see solar panels. Definitely recommend this place when you are on your way to go to Shenandoah National Park.

I will drive an hour and 15 minutes just to get something to eat here. Highly suggest the quiche if they have any and rice+chicken bowl for your furry friend.
