Locally owned and run restaurant Off The Grid practices what it preaches--out back, in a field across the river, they have a huge solar array that powers the restaurant. They also offer EV charging--one tesla charger and another for other EVs I guess. In this county Off The Grid is the go-to place for vegetarian food. They may also be vegan, but I've never asked. The dining room is cozy and you're sure to run into someone you know. In nice weather you can sit out back...
Our favorite place to have breakfast after camping at big meadows. Very helpful and friendly staff, and the breakfast dishes are fantastic. Fresh baked bread and pastries are a big hit! Highly recommend!
It may be off the grid, but it’s worthwhile to find! Had a delicious Mediterranean plate with falafel, hummus, veggies, and kombucha. Also enjoyed a Mexican taco salad with very tender chicken, and the best espresso this side of the Shenandoahs.
