We finally made it tonight to try and will be back as often as we can! We chose a kid's chicken tender meal, Philly Steak no onions, Whitley Burger, 12pc wing - half buffalo, half General Tso's. Also tried the dessert special - Strawberry Crunch Cake. Everything was amazing, even the 5yo approved!

The Snack Shack consistently serves up delicious food at a good price. Large portions seasoned to perfection. Burnt ends and brisket anything; Whitley burger; cheesesteaks; largest wings around in a variety of seasonings and their daily specials are all winners! Thought I was a milkshake gal until I tried the coffee crunch ice cream and banana pudding. Just yum!

Great staff, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. We loved the fries and onion rings, the aloha burger was our favorite. It sounds weird but it’s so good (spam and pineapple). Looking forward to trying more here!

So disappointing. We have been to this lake numerous times in years past and have had a great time. Drove over an hour today (Sunday, Memorial Day weekend) to find out that wrist bands for the beach area were limited. (Sold out)
There was hardly anyone on the beach and guests being asked to leave for not having a swimming band.
We were told we could swim outside of the roped area. These areas were marshy and swarming with insects. We left after about 30 minutes. Thankfully we did not pay to park as we have a state park pass but I would have requested a refund.
Absolutely ridiculous. We will not be back.

I'm NOT racist towards ANYONE however over the last 20 years Lake Anna has been overtaken by Hispanics and Indian seemingly during the off season. I've been visiting this park for 15 years and NEVER had a problem until today this day 2025. Sitting at a table mminding my business enjoying the water views someone threw a rock in my direction- big enough to hurt me had it hit the back of my head. The population thats occupying this PUBLIC PARK right now thinks they own it!!!! I pay taxes here in VA!!!! LAKE ANNA need to have VA State Police presence all year not just after Memorial Day. I will be contacting the office with my concerns. I hardly ever see any African American people here anymore. A friend of mine said her brother was here on Thursday and someone threw a apple past his head.

Nice place but the guards pull one out of the water on more than one occasion,
Crazy overcrowded. Hammocks in every tree, people leaving all kinds of trash on the ground. Place was filled by noon. Looked like a mix of a refugee camp and a picnic. Not worth the visit.
