My personal favorite local Winery. Love their dessert port. Beautiful place and it's beautiful outside too with seating and plenty of parking and space to walk around.

My friend recently visited from Australia, and I was determined to show her the best of Winchester. Valerie Hill Vineyard did not disappoint! It was her favorite part of Winchester and one of the highlights of her entire trip around the U.S.From the moment we drove up we were taken aback by the beauty of the estate. Inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting (even on the chilly day), and the beautiful surroundings added to the overall experience. Beyond the delicious food and wine, the service was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly, making us feel right at home. He took the time to answer our questions and guide us through the wine list, ensuring we had a truly memorable experience. Thank you so much for making my friends visit so special - I can’t wait to visit again!

Lovely winery in a nice historic building, so match made in heaven for us - wine and history! We came in February on a cold snowy day so we didn’t walk around the grounds much but the area looked lovely. There’s plenty of seating both inside and outside, so that’s really good. We lived in many wine-producing countries, including Chile, France, Romania, Greece and now are learning about wines of Virginia, so we visited several wineries in this area and we thought that this particular one is a tad less relaxed than some others we went to on this trip - with schedule for reserved tastings, like, every half hour and every hour… but the most disappointing for us was that there are no flight tastings on weekends! I mean… isn’t that when most folks come to wineries, on weekends? I could be wrong (hold your judgement, lol) but seems that in attempt to prioritize profit (reserved tastings certainly cost more than tasting flights), they kinda miss out on popularizing their wines among those customers who didn’t have a reservation but wanted to learn more about this winery’s wines… oh well, just an opinion, but hence one star off…We tried the Cameo Rose and it was good; we came back home with a bottle. We also thought that it was great that they offer some food options, more than just cheese&crackers - they have sandwiches, charcuterie boards, warm baguettes with olive oil… Shout out to the young lady working on food options - great food presentation skills! Anyway, if you’re in the area, good place to visit.

Scenic, knowledgeable employees, good wine, tasty menu. You can sit and chill. Supposedly haunted!

Fairly small in scale compared to its bigger nearby brothers and sisters this winery has all types (both white and red!). ?. Also some bubbly ones. The house is interesting but seems like we could have learned a bit more on the history. It was a very cold day. Left with one bottle of white ($29). Grounds seemed nice but was too cold to explore. Staff was super friendly, maybe the best part of the place.

Josh was the best! He was very nice and friendly. He was the best host we had in all the wineries we went too. He knows how to treat people. He has excellent customer service.

This was our first stop on our winery outing and turned out to be our favorite. The host was charming and informative. We enjoyed our flights in a comfortable setting. And the wine was the best we tasted.

What an awesome winery!! Amanda was very friendly and knowledgeable!! We sat on the patio, which has a heater, because it was a little cool outside! We tasted whites and reds, and the tastes were amazing!! Great atmosphere and history on the property!!

We had a great time visiting Valerie Hill. Everyone we interacted with there was great. Even got to meet the owners! Enjoyed the wines and the property has a lot of interesting history. Definitely recommend stopping by!

Wine was so good, we got to sample a few before picking, and bread was SOO yummy. We joked we’d come back for the bread alone one day. Beautiful area to sit outside while you drink your wine.

Josh was fantastic , the house is amazing and unique - but the wine is the star! We had the Antebellum and the 1807 Blend. Both were terrific! We are visiting the area from out of town, and only want to plan a time in the fall to return!
