I ordered a take away order towards closing time. Place didn’t seem that clean. I look at how sticky counters are to decide. A surface in a restaurant is not supposed to be sticky. The tandoori chicken was very good and juicy. The Palak paneer had zero flavor and was overly runny. The naan was good. Rice also had no salt or flavor. So to me off this one experience food was very average.

We love coming to Tamarind - some of the best north Indian food in the area! The restaurant came under new ownership (last year) and you can really see and taste the difference! We actually hosted a dinner here in their party room and the service was great. They have some kinks to work out, as all new restaurants do, but the owners are very open to feedback and truly make you feel part of the family. After hearing abt the place I gave the saturday buffet a try. And I liked the freshness in food, and guys, you know how to make a poori aloo. Thank you, thank you, thank you… because almost every other restaurant in this area cant even do a basic poori properly. And yes, all the other stuff was great taste as well.

This place has good food, but I don't go anymore because no matter how much extra I pay for rice they always give such small amounts. Plain rice is pretty cheap and they charge so much it just rubs me wrong so I go other places instead now but their food does taste good I just always feel offended how they cheat with the rice it just stresses me out so I stopped going.
The coke no ice was almost as majestic as the Chicken majestic. Perfect temperature. Great service. Passes the vibe check ✅

I’ve been to Tamarind a few times now and it’s by far the best Indian restaurant in the area. The butter chicken and chicken 65 are delicious, and the portion sizes are more than generous. Make sure to try the Jaljeera Mojito! Also don’t forget to check out the weekend lunch buffet!

Been there for a lunch buffet with family. Restaurant was clean and ambience was nice.Buffet had fair number of items and almost every dish was very tasty. Even our 2 year old kid was able to eat many of them. No over spice or saltiness, perfect to taste. Price felt a bit on the high note but was worth a visit. Will definitely visit again n again.
Such great food! I come here all the time. My favorite is their weekend buffet, because you can try everything. Chicken 65 and butter chicken are fantastic, as well as the paneer and the chickpeas. They also have great drinks and cocktails. The mango lassi is really refreshing with a spicy entree. Servers are very attentive and will refill drinks, naan, rice, whatever you need! It's a small business, and the owner is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it.
My experience at Tamarind was fabulous. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt like family. The appetizers were delicious and the food came out in no time. We ordered the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Tiki Masala and both had authentic flavor and were nice and hot. We also had a couple of drinks from the bar that were tasty too. If you are looking for delicious Indian cuisine in the Loudoun County area, THIS IS THE SPOT!
