Awesome Lunch Buffet! Went here with my coworkers for lunch and we loved it! The food was hot and fresh; the restaurant was clean, and they were really friendly.

The food was awesome when this place existed as a restaurant. But it is closed, while the owners are looking for a new place. However, they only do delivery via app. The quality of food went down significantly while price went up. Not worth the price hike for the bad quality food and slow service. I was a regular customer of theirs both restaurant and the delivery.

Nice food, priced accordingly

This place was very good. I ordered the Kay Wot. It was well seasoned without being crazy oily like a lot of ethiopian Wots are. The portions are generous. Me being a larger guy, it filled me up and some to spare. I will be going back again for sure.

I just recently discovered Ethiopian food . And I'm obsessed . My favorite is Ethiopian veggie platter . Town I live in, does not have Ethiopian place. So Then I travel for work in every overnight I'm trying to get some Ethiopian food. So far I had in Louisville , Birmingham now here in Dulles .All places dishes taste little different and have to say this place does not disappoint. Food here is very good . Portions are generous. Was delivered on time as promised. All was tasty and most importantly spicy lentil stew -Misr Wot was spicy enough, Just how I like . Some Ethiopian restaurants seem try too hard to please American pallet. And Injera amazingly soft , sour , spongy .I ordered extra to take home. I figured how to make most of veggie dishes at home like lentil stew , pea stew and cabbage but not Injera. This will take time to master.

Where is everyone? Every time I drive over here they are closed. Gave them a low rating for wasting my time, not for the food which I've yet to try. They get really good reviews for their food, but how are people eating it!? Hours are posted right on the door, yet they have been closed the last 3 times I've come to eat (twice for dinner, once for lunch). Tried calling too, but all you get is a voicemail option? Vacation? What's the deal here? ADDENDUM 11/12/2017: Owner called me and explained they are moving to another location, even offered to call me when that happens which I thought was a nice gesture. Added two more stars today, but still think it would have been better to post this info on the door and their voicemail to keep customers from guessing.

Amazing food and friendly staff. Seriously the food is amazing, I just think the seating area has room for improvement.

I experienced the least flavorful tibs I've ever had. But the delivery was fast. Typically you can't go wrong with tibs so I'm not quite sure why they lacked flavor. But the injera was good.

I've visited this restaurant with my family many times. Love the food and service. Consistently great quality. Both Yemeni and Ethiopian dishes are delicious. The sambosas are one of the best I've tasted.

This place is more of a 3.5. I agree with others that the service leaves quite a lot to be desired. They're not going to harass you, to put it mildly. I needed the waitress twice but couldn't find her. She tends to go into the back and stay there for VERY LONG periods of time. When she does come out, she's extremely warm and welcoming. I just wish she'd come out more. I asked for water to drink but she brought both water and some kind of hot tea. I don't drink caffeine and I'm not sure if it was an infused black or strictly herbal tea, but I didn't want to offend by refusing it because it was really nice of her to bring it, so I drank it. It was tasty. It had little seeds in it (anis or crushed cardamom or something else? not sure...) that settled in it when left unstirred--so make sure not to keep stirring it or you'll wish you had it filtered. Both I and my co-diner had the buffet at about 3:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. I was worried by the fact that the place was empty: Would the buffet food be old? But then I remembered even a la carte Ethiopian food often stews in a crockpot-like dish all day anyway, so... yeah, it totally doesn't matter. It was a smaller buffet than I was expecting: 8 dishes in total, I think, plus salad, a lentil soup, and bread. For such a low price ($10.99), I guess that's alright. The food was good, but nothing to rave about. I'd go again, but I do want to try the other Ethiopian restaurant around these parts first. If/when I return here, I think I'll try the Lamb Mandi everyone's talking about on Yelp to see if ordering a la carte makes any difference in my impression of this place. Will update then... Oh, BTW: Make sure you read the large printed photograph that covers the whole front of the cash register station. It's HILARIOUS. ;-)

When my husband and I are craving something home cooked and warm, this is usually the first place that comes to mind. When you come to visit, get the Lamb Mandi -- I promise you won't be disappointed! It is so soft and just falls from the bone while maintaining such great flavor. It is definitely a small business and could use some help with the interior design, but in terms of food it does not disappoint. Depending on what you get it does take a while, about a half hour, but the owner says it is because they make every order fresh from scratch when it's ordered--and it sure tastes that way! Some of the entrees come with a small salad, and the owner always offers us complimentary hot tea after our meal. When we were waiting for our carryout order we also got a complimentary serving of meat sambosas. You can tell the food is cooked with love, and always served with a smile. If you want to dabble in Yemeni or Ethiopian cuisine, definitely come give this place a try.

WOW! Incredible cooking. This place is a jewel. The staff is friendly, the prices are fair, and best of all the food is amazing! By far my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the DC area. And the Yemeni lamb plate was fall-off-the-bone cooked. This chef obviously cooks with love.
