My husband said that their burger was by far the best he's had! He's a very picky eater and didn't remove anything from his burger or order it plain like he does at other places we go.
He even ate the onions and enjoyed the flavor! (That's a first for him). I can't comment on the beer as I don't drink, but the food and atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming! There's even things for kids to do.
The Assistant General Manager Ian Adamson is a friend of mine and sat down with my husband and I for a bit. He is one of the kindest and hardworking guys I've ever known.
This will definitely be me and my husband's new date spot! We can even bring the kids when we don't have a babysitter.
10/10 recommend! If you haven't been here yet, then what are you doing!?

I went for the dueling pianos event in November. The musicians were so incredibly talented and they put on a wonderful show. There was a lot of variety in the songs requested. The last few songs everyone was dancing and singing along in the center of the brewery. So much fun! Great crowd! The tickets on eventbrite were easy to purchase.

The brewery itself seemed terribly understaffed for such a large event. I ordered food at the very beginning of the night, before it got busy, and after 30 mins I asked if the waitress could check on it. She did not. 15 mins later I asked again and they brought out the food- which was not good. Super greasy and over cooked. It was typical bar food. There was a special (reduced) menu that night due to the event. So there wasn't a big selection to begin with. I had ordered under the "shareable appetizers" menu but we did not receive extra plates. Nachos were a bit awkward to eat without our own plates.

The staff also had a hard time refilling the large Gatorade jug of water that everyone was using. They handed out small cups, so you had to refill frequently. I remembered that when I came to Solace in the past, water was an issue, so I bought my own bottles of water for everyone in the group. I saved the day since all 8 of us were parched.

Overall it was a fun event but I suggest eating beforehand and bringing your own water.

One of my favorite spots in DC. The staff is exceptional!

My friends from out of town came, we thought to visit solace brewery. I was here many times no one never asked for ID. I always carry ID but missed to bring on that day, asked if I can show in digital form, bartender replied no with big attitude.

I said ok and my friends ordered the drinks after a while bartender came to the table and mentioned I’m not supposed seat with them as he thought I might be drinking. He actually took drinks of my friends and left. I have Politely said no I’m not drinking and he mentioned he needs an ID for me. I told him give me like 10min and I would get the ID.

I was back showed the ID and then he was so rude and beside him there was lady who was like just leave the store. Felt terrified with their response and rude behavior.

The issue was not the refusal of service for someone who couldn’t present an ID, it was the unfriendly and disrespectful demeanor how she handled what could have been a very simple conversation. Will never return back unless the staff or attitude is changed! Who ever the owner is good luck with your employees who are dealing rudely with customers.

I love their taproom’s chicken thighs and tots. Solace has a lot of great hop forward beers, but I really like their Belgian Wit. There is also an arcade section for kids.

Stopped by to try the new menu. Food was excellent, elevated bar food and a must try. Definitely get the onion rings. Beer was great as always.

Used to love this place; sadly, no dogs allowed after years of coming here really changes how we look at this place.

Do not think we will be frequenting this brewery on the future after 4 years of being regulars.

Best of luck with the “kitchen”

Their signature IPA was great, but the West Coast IPA was wonderful. Love this place.

Ok. Get The Soho hotdog and an IPA. I am IMPRESSED. I have eaten 28 hot dogs this year hailing from the chicagoland area and this hot dog made me want 4 more of them. Great beers. great food. great service!
