I travel a lot and I always try bbq in any state that I am in. With that being said in my 56 years of living this is if not the best bbq at least top 2 I have ever had. I knew it was going to be good when I got out of my truck and all I smelled was the smoke from the pit. The rib tips and brisket was seasoned and smoked perfectly. Brisket was ridiculously tender!!!!. Granddads kool aid was awesome and not to sweet but flavorful. I’m definitely going back to try out Grandmas Tea……

Holey shit...sorry there are no photos there wasn't anything left. I had the ribs brisket wings mac and cheese kale and yams kool-aid and sweet tea.
Phenomenal dry rub on the ribs and brisket the meat was smoked to perfection. Flavors were not reliant on sauce to put you in a food coma. The brisket was moist and flavorful portions were hardy and the ribs were tender and juicy.
The wings were fried crispy lightly battered remi did me of how my grandmother use to do it. A little salt a little pepper a few seasonings served hot and not greasy.
The Mac and cheese I was side eying at first but ooooweee was I wrong. It was creamy and cheesy ( real cheese no velvita ) flavorful and comforting.
The kale was surprisingly amazing. I usually prefer greens kale is tough but this was tender and had just the right amount of sweetness. ( yes slightly smokey sweet and were amazing.
The yams give me a Caribbean vibe not too sweet just enough to compliment the natural flavors.
Sweet tea and kool-aid were great not diabetes sweet unless you have like 3 cups...I had one of each...
BBQ places in strip malls who knew. I had my doubts when I stepped out of the car and couldn't smell the smoker but as soon as you get inside ... yea
I was surprisingly overwhelmed by the quality of every item every bite every morsel. I'm going to go passout in the car now. I would absoutly recommend this place to anyone who likes good bbq and would totally go out of my way to eat here again.

The absolute BEST ribs in town! I’ve been enjoying the ribs for several years. Even tho it’s a far drive for me I still go to get them. Nothing beats their food! The collard greens and the Mac n cheese are excellent. A must try and I promise you’ll be hooked!!! When I go I always get at least 3 to 4 full racks bc everyone in my family loves them. These guys are amazing!

Absolutely the best BBQ I've had in NOVA (I'm a southern transplant). The brisket was just perfection. Tender, smokey, fabulous. And the right mix of fatty and lean, which is hard to achieve! Coleslaw was great too, as were the baked beans. And delicious mustard based sauce. So very happy we tried this place! Can't wait to go back and try more!

Me and my boyfriend have been searching for a good bbq place in the northern DMV area. This is truly our new favorite spot. The food amazing. The sauces amazing. The staff so friendly and welcoming. My husband loves bbq, so we’ve tried plenty of places in NOVA. Just as we’d come to the conclusion that we couldn’t get decent bbq here, we visited the Pit Stop. Now we come almost every weekend that we’re in town. The food is amazing, authentic southern-style barbecue that has never disappointed. The cooks, management and owners take care to deliver excellent, quality food. They should be honored. The only downside is that, if you don’t order early on the weekends, they will likely sell out. Otherwise, it can’t be beat.

The food was great, but the meat and the buns were cold!! My husband got just all meat, his meat was cold. Is that just how they serve it? Only first time there! Sides were hot! But disappointed the meat and buns err cold!
Hands down the best BBQ spot you can find. Tried every place within a 50 mile range and everything on the menu slaps. I always get the rib tips with mac and cheese and it never disappoints.

My wife and I are from South Carolina, so finding truly good BBQ in Virginia has been a journey. Today, we finally found our spot. The food was incredibly flavorful without being overly salty, and every dish had that authentic, soulful taste we’ve been missing. On top of that, all of their BBQ sauces are superb, each one adds its own layer of flavor without overpowering the meat.
Tristan delivered exceptional customer service. He patiently answered all of my questions, picked up on my hesitation, and gave honest recommendations that turned out to be exactly right. Every worker we interacted with had a great vibe and was genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better.
The food was so good we ordered extra to take home. This is officially our #1 BBQ spot in the VA area.

Love the food but our order is never ready when we call ahead. I could say I’m picking it up in an hour and it doesn’t matter. Every time they start cooking our food when my husband and i get there we still have to sit and wait another 20-30 minutes. Please ownership and management let’s tighten up on the pick up orders.
