Ordered food for an office luncheon. Pork belly bites were delicious, smoked pork and smoked chicken were pretty good but the sides missed the spot unfortunately. Beans were ok, coleslaw was on the salty side and the Mac and cheese was dry and tasteless. I hope it was just an off day. Hopefully they improve on their sides.
The meat was under cooked, discolored, and smelled rancid. It was not fit for human consumption. Absolutely vile.
We had this bbq at the bourbon and bbq event and it was the worst bbq we have ever had! Baked beans did not taste like baked beans, pork with supposedly hot sauce was not spicy in any way. Everything was horrible. We threw it all out.
A weekend or so back, I attended the Purcellville Music & Arts Festival, which was held in the Fireman's Field park, if memory serves correct. At that time, only parking was at Emerick Elementary School, but there's also closer parking at the community center lot. I actually opted to park in a residential neighborhood, as the street was closer to the event.Well, good thing is dogs are allowed. And I remember it was a "rain or shine" event, which was good, seeing as how it certainly was drizzling at the time -- and likely had rained well before then.A lot of food trucks at the event, in the Fireman's Field area. I beheld a Fords Fish Shack truck, one for a pizza I'd never heard of, and some kind of southern or soul food.No idea of anything, and kinda glad I saw the food truck for the "What the Heck BBQ" at last. This was my first time ordering something here, so at the food truck I just asked for popular choices, and went to knock 'em both out.Brisket and Pulled Pork topped the list, so I got a 2-meats plate with them both, and with flavored Mac and Cheese and Texas Baked BBQ Beans on the side. Packed three small cups of BBQ sauce, one regular and the others of the spicy variant.Ate out at one of the lone picnic tables near the entrance to the park.It was a nice afternoon and the rain had stopped. The brisket was good and so was the pulled pork. I liked the sides more than the main dish, for some reason. Mac and cheese was heavenly but prob had a lot of calories packed in. BBQ beans were spot on, and complimented the meat with their own BBQ sauces. All in all, a close home run and well done for what was essentially a to-go order -- yeah, planning was not outstanding. All in all, great food truck selling barbecue meat and foods. Great Mac 'n cheese by the way. Who knows, hopefully one day I'll swing by the store in Chantilly at least once.
We used them for a party and the food was amazing! They use good quality meat, not a lot of fat. Their sauce is so tasty! We paid a little extra to have them deliver it and set it up. Everything was excellent! Highly recommend!
Wow. Best BBQ in the DC area. Mind blowingly delicious this is the best taste you'll ever have on your taste buds you definitely want to try it get in touch with them and figure out where they're going to be so you can get on the barbecue train Thank you so much Kevin and what the heck barbecue for making the best barbecue I've ever had in my life and I keep coming back from born I can't decide either if the chicken or the pork is better Just depends on the day! Fill me up with more of this BBQ, also amazing barbecue sauce
I was having a small get together for some friends after not throwing an event for over a year due to COVID. I saw Kevin's sticker on his car in my neighborhood and looked him up. I put in for a quote saying that I wasn't sure what I needed, Kevin made some recommendations as to platter size and gave me a quote.
The day of the event Kevin showed up exactly when I needed him. The food was a major hit, every guest gave the food high praise. At the end of the evening there was no meat left at all and only a little bit of the sides.
I'd definitely order from him again!

I had the ribs a week ago and the brisket today. That was the most delicious BBQ I’ve had in a long time. Good BBQ and even better people.
Kevin personally delivered a beef brisket (still hot!) the night before Thanksgiving. It was the best brisket I’ve/we’ve ever had and it was huge! It accompanied our turkey perfectly. Thanks, Kevin!

Searched everywhere in Northern Virginia for quality BBQ, finally came across What The Heck BBQ for our thanksgiving brisket. Best brisket my family and I have ever had in nova, their BBQ and customer service are equally as good. Couldn’t be happier.
Delicious BBQ, great service, and reasonably priced. We got so many compliments on the food from our guests and it was nice to not having to worry about cooking so I could enjoy our company and party!
Live out in Herndon, but worth the drive out to Cascade farmer's market just for the meat. I tried the brisket after moving to the area and being lured in by KC style- and I was hooked.
