“My wife and I were in Culpeper today to attend her uncles service at the Culpeper National Cemetary. After the service was looking for a place to eat. My wife and her uncle are Greek and I noticed this gem while looking through Google. We decided to go in his honor. Charlottesville has many Greek owned restaurants but our trip to Albanas was our first time at a place that served totally Greek cuisine. I can't think of the right words to describe our experience that would do justice. I think I have found a new favorite restaurant. The food and atmosphere was so delightful and amazing. The food was so fresh and everything is made in house. The pita bread melted in your mouth and my wife and I ordered the Gyro and we both commented that as Gyro fans it was the very best we had the pleasure to sink our teeth into. We had a awesome Greek salad as well and the dressing was so flavor packed and refreshing. Can't wait to make the trek back to Culpeper again soon to partake in this great establishment. We met Albana while we were there and she was very nice and you can tell she takes great care and pride in what she serves and the customer service from the other staff was supurb as well. This was also our first experience at a restaurant where a robot brings your food out to the table. I was very impressed with the people, food and atmosphere. Culpeper definitely has a little corner of Greece in its midst!”

“Trying to bring back some nostalgia, there are lots of timey-like items for sale. Things like grits mix and rolled oats. Most patrons were in the deli line getting sandwiches. Right next to the store is a boat launch area where you can rent boats to take onto the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful at the store. Go get you some fudge.”

“We’ve been loyal customers for years and have always considered your ice cream the best around. However, we wanted to let you know about a disappointing experience we had today. The ice cream we ordered—white chocolate raspberry and peanut butter with chocolate sprinkles—had no flavor at all, which is so unlike what we’ve come to expect from Moothur. We’re not ones to complain, but we felt it was important to let you know. Has something changed with how the ice cream is being made? “Visited this morning for the first time. It was a fantastic experience. The staff were helpful, friendly, and most importantly knowledgeable. We made three selections. Two were guided (I was looking for an aged Cheddar with crystals) and one impulse buy. All were excellent. This is not the cheese store for your average American cheese consumer, but the perfect place for those with more experienced palates. We will be back!”

“Love this place. Amazing food options and fantastic acoustic music upstairs to heighten the dining experience. There is always something new and seasonal on the menu and the staff is very attentive. Make sure to make this a stop on your tour through Culpeper if you are coming through town.”

“Nice little dog friendly brewery in downtown Culpepper. The beers were solid. My favorite was the Ernst, a German pilsner. I had the five beer flight that included a Marzen, a Kolsch, a New England IPA, the Pilsner, and a dark lager. Definitely a nice range of styles.
The kitchen is pretty small, so food can be a little slow when the place is packed. Overall, definitely a nice brewery to visit. Culpepper is a nice little town and there is plenty of parking nearby.”

“unfortunately no chicken came.out cold. brisket dry. and sides were very poor.. Mac and cheese. was separated from cheese and the oil from cheese. beans tasted like Hormel chili beans . chicken that was cold was reheated. and came out with bone and cartilage. just very disappointing for $67 would not recommend. . not to mention the direct view into the kitchen and prep area with various cross-contamination stainless bowl full of batter that they use to dip fish or maybe hush puppie batter . it is not in an ice bath just very very bad experience”
