Pumpkin really enjoyed his Beef and Vegetable Soup with Macaroni in it. tasted fresh!

This is a true wayside diner in an old 50s/60s style shop. The donuts are very good. Heavy and sweet just like they should be. The coffee was really good. I love those old diner coffee cups. The eggs were perfectly over-easy. Hot Biscuits came buttered. City ham and hash browns were not very good. They both had an odd flavor as if fish had been cooked on the griddle right before. Sausage gravy was not in our top five, but decent with ample portions. Country ham was very good but smaller portions. Blueberry pancake was excellent. The bill came to $65, which floored us. But we did order two drinks and two doughnuts so I guess it does add up. We’ll probably stop in here again if we’re in the area, but be more careful about over spending. Definitely for the donuts.

Great donuts!

Very friendly service and atmosphere. My friend and I stopped in here for the first time and we got coffee and donuts. The coffee was excellent and so were the donuts. I will definitely be back and am looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

Not real healthy but a good comfort food

We were meandering through the beautiful back roads of Virginia when we stopped here on a whim. They didn't make donuts that day and were out of a few things, but what we got was delicious and we enjoyed our time there.

Will not return!! $3.59 for a cup of coffee!
Ordered all time favorite bfast which inc. bacon, 2 eggs , hash browns and English muffin $13.59 so not worth it!

First off the environment is welcoming. Everyone was friendly. However their portions are terrible for the prices they charge. They charge $4 and some change for corned beef hash and LITERALLY serve you a spoon full. I paid $30 for a meal that didn’t even fill myself or my husband up. A child could’ve eaten it by themselves.

This place is really small inside. We came to buy just a doughnut. The employee was busy so while we waited we looked around. The waitress scratched her arm and the cook put a bandage on it and went back cooking food without washing her hands. Then the waitress went into the doughnut case to take two doughnuts out to take to a table. She didn't put any gloves on or use tongs. We walked out.
