Oh lord, this was delicious!! It was my first time here, and I ordered the pancake feast, and what a feast it was! The pancake was enormous! It was fluffy and delicious with each mouth watering bite! I also got a side order of 3 strips of bacon that were cooked to perfection as well as corned beef hash. I was a little concerned when I saw that the hash had a bit of char on it, but when I took that first bite, my belly was screaming for more! The hashbrowns were cooked to a heavenly golden brown that was just what the doctor ordered. If you haven't been convinced yet to eat here, I'm pleading with you to go get some breakfast from the Brighter Side Cafe. Live life on the brighter side!

Kid-friendliness: My daughter was not having a good morning, but the owner went out of her way to please her and I am very grateful!

New to the area and was looking for a breakfast spot. Ive seen them before as I’ve walked by exploring the area. I must say the food is GREAT, affordable and filling. It gave a “home cooked” feel. I had the French toast with eggs bacon and hash-browns. The customer service was great, the owners were extremely nice and welcoming. Now I will warn you, the wall decor is interesting…I personally found it entertaining. If you can get past that and not be offended then you will be able to enjoy yourself. I was there for the food and they delivered. I’ll definitely go back.

I recently visited a charming mom-and-pop breakfast cafe that has quickly become my favorite spot. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with vintage and unique decor that adds to the cozy, free-spirited vibe of the place. It's a perfect blend of nostalgia and comfort. The food is not only delicious but also very affordable, making it a great choice for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Whether you're in for a hearty breakfast or just a quick coffee, this cafe offers a delightful experience that feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended!

The food, atmosphere, and service were excellent! It's more affordable and better than Cracker Barrel, that's for sure. As a veteran, I felt welcomed and enjoyed sharing good times related to my service with the owner, who is also prior service. If you’re looking for a mom-and-pop-style restaurant, this is your place!

Conservatives rejoice! Are you wanting a breakfast place where your conservative values are on every wall? Well, look no further than The Brighter Day Cafe! The wait for the food was quite long, but it gives you plenty of time to look around at the LIBERAL HEROS of the 1980s, and ask yourself, "why?" There's a 1980s theme throughout, but nary a conservative soul displayed. Where is John Wayne, Ronald Reagan, Bush? Do you long to eat your breakfast next to the elderly toting guns, then this is your place! The food was hot and plentiful, if not forgettable. The waitress was friendly.

The country ham and cheese omelet was delicious! But the grilled toast was absolutely the crispiest, tastiest I have ever had! I could have made a meal out of that alone! Will definitely be back! And I highly recommend! This is a Suffolk treasure!

Vegetarian options: Options available if you ask.

Dietary restrictions: My friend asked for egg white omelet which was readily and cheerfully accommodated.

Parking: There are some spots out front on the street but plenty behind the building.

Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant which welcomes kids!

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wide entrance with tables easily accessed by wheelchair.
