EL KORITA RESTAURANTE MEXICANO

Super mediocre mexican food. Ordered the Elote, cali burrito, and quesadilla. Elote was good, pretty true to style. Quesadilla was mid. But lets talk about the cali burrito... lived there for years and i dont miss much about california but i do miss the cali burrito soooo i was hopeful. So far VA, you have let me down and this spot is no different. I very clearly asked of this was a wet burritp or if it was closed and handheld (as they are in cali). Waitress said no its closed, its not wet. What was devlivered? A sopping wet pile of meat and fries covered in disgusting cheese loosely wrapped in a tortilla. Plenty of food but beef was super overcooked and tough and I couldnt taste anything but this cheese trash. Know your menu and listen to your customer.

Best Mexican food in 757 hands down. If you're in Suffolk, you have to try this place. It's as authentic as being back on the West Coast. I would give 10 stars if possible!!

How do you judge a restaurant the first time you go? Food? Price? For me, it’s the overall experience. Today I took my family to El Korita for lunch and it was our first time there. Without a doubt we were made to feel welcome. It’s one of those places you feel more at home than just another table to be turned for the next customer. The food is delicious and the owners are warm and hard working. I had a burrito that had a unique savory flavor profile that was spot on. The fact we were outnumbered by Latinos gives a great indication this restaurant is legit. I challenge you to say that at other Mexican chain restaurants in the area. If you’re in Suffolk, stop in at El Korita for some good eats, you won’t be disappointed! Support Local businesses!

One of my go-tos in Downtown Suffolk. As a traditional restaurant, it never disappoints! I especially like the cactus leaves and the homemade hot sauce. Their prices are very reasonable considering the portion sizes.

My boyfriend and I came to check out a cheese steak joint in downtown suffolk. We were disappointed to learn when we got here it was permanently closed. However, we smelled something delicious and it was El Korita. We decided to eat here and a disappointing afternoon outing turned into such a delight. Our waitress (the daughter of the family) is an absolute sweet heart. Our food was packed with flavor and very fresh. The house hot sauce is to die for. We ended up purchasing our own bottle. Hands down, my new favorite place in Virginia!

Your customer service is terrible, we spent 35 minutes waiting for some "TACOS". People that you know arrived after us and you served them first and until we complained about our food you started to make it, here it is not about a Hispanic being an enemy of another Hispanic or not, so don't play the victim by saying That's it, I already saw the other reviews of people who complain about your bad service and you always play the victim, better accept your mistakes and try to improve your service to your customers and then you won't have these types of reviews. And regarding the water you are charging, you better not even mention it because we don't need to steal 2 waters and leave, your service simply sucked and we just got up and left upset because you don't serve as you should.

It's not a taqueria, but it's a restaurant, you're going to serve what the customer asks for, that's why you're going to be paid for "GOOD SERVICE", NOT FOR THE PATHETIC SERVICE YOU OFFER, PLUS I TIP WHEREEVER I GO. BUT WITH THAT ATTITUDE YOU HAVE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS I DON'T THINK THEY WOULD WANT TO TIP ANYONE.

Furthermore, as a worker or business owner, it seems very silly that you are arguing with people about mistakes that you yourselves make. As I already said, it's better to accept your mistake and don't make it again so that in the future you don't have the same problems, otherwise your good review will gradually go down.
