Harper’s Table is a wonderful surprise in Suffolk! When entering the atmosphere is classic nostalgia from the 50’s on the walls with a modern touch of exceptional lighting and country dining. Service was personal and very friendly, but not invasive. The plating, presentation and service were exceptional. But the food, that’s what sets Harper apart. You have to go, it’s an unbelievable balance with a chefs touch on sauces, appetizers and meals. Well done sir! We will return soon.

WOW. 10/10. This was our first time at Harper's table.As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly hostess and the vibes were great. Our server was extremely knowledgable on the menu/drinks, friendly, and attentive. We got the fried oysters, pork belly biscuit, chespeake bay flounder, and ribs. Every thing was amazing. You can tell how thought out every dish is from the presentation to the taste. My husband and I both agreed this was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time and it may just be our new favorite restaurant !

Absolutely delicious. This was my second time ordering the shrimp and grits from Harper’s Table, and the flavor did not disappoint. Plenty of shrimp and sausage, and the sauce is very flavorful — honestly, that’s why I came back for round two. My only wish is that they would give a bit more grits or make them thicker. Luckily, I ordered a side of cornbread, which was pretty good and helped balance the dish. Otherwise, I would’ve still been hungry because the base wasn’t quite filling enough. Overall, great flavor and quality — just needs a more satisfying portion of grits.

Little expensive, food was good. Pork belly biscuit made for toddler but had grown folks price 😳, Winhaven Smash Burger💥. I'm very attentive waitress. Very small inside, 3 stars for atmosphere, quite, couldn't remember if I heard any music. This is not Applebee's so this is more like a mom and pop upscale restaurant with food, you're used to but cooked on a five-star level 🤷♂️.

Almost EVERYTHING is created here or sourced from local farmers. We have been to Harper’s Table a number of times since they’ve opened and each time we have enjoyed their wonderful fare. They’ve started serving lunch a while ago, and my daughter and I enjoyed the lunch menu today. I had the Boardwalk Empire - focaccia with salami, mozzarella, arugula, oregano and vinaigrette. The waitress said everything was made “in-house”. Very tasty! My daughter had the Windhaven Smash Burger with White American, onion jam, shallot mayo. Wonderful! To cap it off - we had Vanilla Crème Brûlée for dessert. Scrumptious! Check out Harper’s Table! You’ll not be disappointed.

I absolutely love this restaurant. As someone with celiac disease, it means so much to dine somewhere that truly understands gluten-free needs and takes them seriously. Harper, the owner, and his entire team are wonderful—professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. The food is consistently excellent, whether we’re dining in the restaurant or attending a private event. Every experience has been seamless, safe, and delicious. Im so grateful to have a place I trust and highly recommend it for both everyday dining and special events.

Lovely date night spot in charming downtown Suffolk! Park in the back and enjoy the short walk. Reservations online are recommended. I ordered the mole poblano beef shank with creamy polenta was incredible—tender, rich, perfect heat. My boyfriend’s shrimp and grits with that buttery creole sauce disappeared in minutes (best he’s ever had). Finished with warm apple cake (which the apples were locally picked) and homemade vanilla ice cream—heaven. Cozy, unique decor and a private back table made it extra intimate. Highly recommend! We’ll be back soon.
