I have eaten here a few times. The food and service do change with the working staff. I have had it be absolutely fantastic and then not as great. Their prices, to me, are higher than they should be especially on the items like mac and cheese. Real Jamaican feel to the place.

My first and last time with this place... Ordered curry goat, rice & peas & plantains, and beef patties. Beef patties were pretty good, had good spice. The rest of it was terrible. Tasted like it wasn't fresh at all. I will not be returning here EVER!!!!!

Adding browning to Jerk chicken for it to look Jerk doesn’t work. Inside will be undercooked and the chicken needs some flavor(not talking about pepper). The parboil rice and peas needs to be cooked properly with JAMAICAN tasting. Where is the coconut milk, ginger and garlic? Please improve. I paid $17 something for no reason. I threw away the food.

I have never seen strew chicken with no sauce and no flavor. I don't even give bad reviews for black own restaurants but this boil in a bag rice was so bad. Rice and peas with no peas. I must've came on the wrong day. Just sitting in front of this plate of disappointment.

This place was good 1 of the 2 times I ate there but this plate on Thursday was not good very greasy to point the already not so good Mac was covered in the juice from ox tails or garbage idk but everything together was enough to make me not want to go back like I said the Mac and cheese wasn’t good and that’s the first thing I ask my wife did I like the Mac and cheese when I re order from restaurant she said I didn’t which is why I have cabbage and Mac instead of double Mac if your Mac is good I get double but you decide

Food was flavored enough with Jamaica flare compared to other places, great service though, not enough atmosphere.
In VA from PA for a home going service. Patron at nearby Hampton Inn where we stayed recommended several things, but said oxtails, peas n rice, and cabbage was the dish to try. I did, and was impressed. P n R OK, but cabbage was very good. Surprised to see in review it was bland. My batch spicy and had carrots and peppers in it. I got four oxtails in my order, AND they were meaty, tender, and seasoned well. Two gentlemen in store at the time were very pleasant. I would have gone back if stay was longer.

The food lacked flavor. There is nothing Jamaican about this place. We had the Jerk chicken with rice n peas and cabbage. no seasoning on the chicken. the rice had no flavor and was poorly cooked. the cabbage was overcooked and inedible. I would go hungry if this was the last place to eat.

I have tried to place an order when I was in front of this store last week with the phone number that was on the door NO ANSWER. Tried calling today someone picked up and hung up twice —- new to the area so I was trying to find out the latest time to place an order for pickup —UNABLE TO GET AN ANSWER — HOW RUDE —- FROM NOW ON JUST DON’T ANSWER YOUR PHONE AT ALL LIKE LAST WEEK! Moving on hopefully I’ll locate another Jamaican restaurant somewhere else in VA!!!

This place food was horrible. The plate sizes were incredibly too small for $42.00 and the cabbage, Mac and cheese and plantain were tasteless. They gave us some chop up chicken and not a breast and it wasn’t jerk and it had no spice. Last and only time we will ever eat there.
