Best brisket I’ve ever had. It would honestly be an insult to the meat to put sauce on it! It’s THAT GOOD. Collards are savory with nice hunks of brisket in it and the slaw is delicious. Really nice staff as well.

My brother and husband were in the area for a funeral on Mon. We walked across from the hotel for a dinner after a 8 hr drive. This place was great. The service and food (Burger, Brisket, Fish Tacos) all amazing. As well as the local IPA on tap which hit the spot. Absolutely recommend to try it out if in the area.

Mandatory 18% service charge for curbside..

Food was delicious, however I had a sour taste in my mouth due to the 18% service charge. The charge is to check the order and walk it out to the vehicle, at least that was what was explained to me.

Our 1st visit and we were pleasantly surprised. Food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. I would love to give service a 5 but we had to wait a full 15 mins for last plate(meal) to be brought to table after everyone else had received their orders. Loved the atmosphere. Family friendly. Worth another visit.

I have been to Mason's several times but have never gotten the brisket. I ordered it this visit and was disappointed. The brisket was tough and dry. The service was great, though.

My wife and I stopped by the other day for lunch. We were amazed at the customer service and attentiveness. Veronica and Malachi were awesome at ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our time. The food was prepared fresh and tasted as great as it looked. A big plus for me was that everything was HOT! We will definitely be back because it is worth the drive for us. Bravo Zulu to the entire staff.

Leaving 3 stars because the food wasn’t bad. Some of it was decent or reasonably good. The atmosphere is not, there was ridiculously loud poor live music playing (for such a small space) and something wrong with the speakers. It was almost unbearable but the waitress said she didn’t want to go outside to serve us if we moved. We had to yell over each other to talk. She asked them to lower it and they did a tiny bit but not enough to make it bearable. When ordering I asked the waitress about a meal because I had a dairy allergy and she told me it did have milk so I ordered the ahi tuna instead. It came with a sauce (which I asked about spice level and she said she could put it on the side). When it came out it was a creamy sauce and after dunking in it a couple times I stopped her to ask if it had dairy as it seemed creamy. She said I don’t know, it could. I said well I told you I have a dairy allergy can you find out? She came back and said it had buttermilk. Well luckily I stopped after the couple of bites but seriously? No apology, no concern from her at all. Might want to start taking things like that more seriously.

I like this place, kinda like a bar/ pub waitresses are great, service is excellent and food is very, very good. Regular size portions.

This place has the best bbq in Virginia I’m positive. I used to live right across the street and my husband and I loved going to Masons for date night. I will say, I haven’t been back since they took the brisket tacos off the menu 💔 Please put them back on the menu!

The food was NOT FRESH. I ordered three meat bbq platter. The meat was dark and had been reheated. Coleslaw taste like vinegar. And the live entertainment was SO LOUD, we could not hold a conversation.

If you’re looking for a nice local joint with some awesome barbecue and fried chicken then Mason’s is your spot.
Awesome food and great service. I’ve had the barbecue brisket and I’ve had their fried chicken and both are amazing.
Speaking of service, our server, Savannah, was amazing. The order was exactly correct, food came out piping hot and she has an amazing friendly personality. Highly recommend.

Been coming every week for years and so glad the tuna bites came back !! They were cooked perfect !

I was really disappointed with my recent takeout experience. When I arrived, there were only two customers in the restaurant, so it wasn’t busy. I ordered mac and cheese, tater tots, and wings half chipotle BBQ and half mild buffalo. Unfortunately, the mild buffalo wings were missing from my order. It’s frustrating when an order isn’t completed correctly, especially when the restaurant isn’t crowded. This experience makes me hesitant to return.

This used to be an awesome place but the service kills it now.
When you walk in and sit at the bar and it takes 15 minutes to even get someone to ask you what you would like. Three people said Hi, even the bartender. The food is great but they really need to work on service needs work.
