I was really disappointed with my recent takeout experience. When I arrived, there were only two customers in the restaurant, so it wasn’t busy. I ordered mac and cheese, tater tots, and wings half chipotle BBQ and half mild buffalo. Unfortunately, the mild buffalo wings were missing from my order. It’s frustrating when an order isn’t completed correctly, especially when the restaurant isn’t crowded. This experience makes me hesitant to return.

This used to be an awesome place but the service kills it now.
When you walk in and sit at the bar and it takes 15 minutes to even get someone to ask you what you would like. Three people said Hi, even the bartender. The food is great but they really need to work on service needs work.

Over all a fun easy going place for sports and food. The drinks if you get alcohol are always strong and worth the price. The BBQ is super tasty just don't get coleslaw if you're expecting flavor. They're also food allergen aware so as long as you tell them you're good to go!

The food here is fantastic. Their BBQ platter, fried chicken sandwich, pork chops, tachos, and French fries are delicious. They have food specials everyday. Mason's also has music and karaoke.

Raised Lexington and Eastern Carolina BBQ, I am always on the lookout for BBQ places to try. Unfortunately, Mason's did not hit the spot. That said, it was... fine. Our server was super nice and kind (10/10). The food was fine, but not one thing was stellar.

PS. The slaw served with our sandwiches was vile, and I had to spit it out.

Small bar/grill with nice decorations and not a lot of seating. There is outdoor seating. We sat inside and ordered appetizers, main dishes, and dessert. The food was expensive and not really worth the price tag. Our server was outstanding!

Food was average. Wait time for appetizers and entrees was over 40 minutes. We were there on a Monday night. We have been here before and loved it. Not so much anymore.

Great food, casual sports atmosphere. Good daily specials. Good place to lunch, dinner or just hang out. Neighborhood feel.

Sub par bbq, terrible service, bs app to pay the ticket that took forever to get. A smokehouse should smell like smoke when you walk through the door. We smelled more smoke in the parking lot when we got out of the car and a cook on break was smoking a blunt on the side my 9 year old got out on. The atmosphere had about as much smoke flair and flavor as the brisket. We've driven by this place several times over the years and decided to check it out for the first time. Will not be coming back.

I ordered togo and didn’t ask for my receipt the next day i noticed there was a price change. Someone tipped themselves $10. I called and nothing was ever done about it. Very unfortunate bcus the food was good. Even more unfortunate they condone that kind of behavior.

Masons is one reason I have stayed in Suffolk. It is the perfect neighborhood spot. The owner knows you by face and grew up here himself. Chef Lisa and Joe are quite the duo; best chef of Suffolk award and amazing homemade collards and sides that are to die for. Everytime we go, it's always a good time. I see a few reviews and it bothers me because there is a huge difference in a chain restaurant and then a place like Masons. The 2 aren't even comparable. It's like comparing a college to a university. At Masons, it's like "Cheers". Everybody knows your name (a college); you aren't just a number (university). All places have their ebbs and flows at times, but, let's remember the reason fast food is called fast, and when something takes time it's bc it's crafted by hands that know what real food should taste like. We will always ❤️ love our Masons!
