I ordered Tortilla Soup (which I believe has medicinal value cause it cures what ails you 😉) I had a water and waited for my order to go!! Less than 1/2 cup of broth and discussting black Avacado....GROSS . I will post pics. COST 15.00 dollars!!! For discusting food.

Ordered a takeout order this evening and was a little disappointed because our food is usually always fresh and hot whether eating in or taking out. Today the food was not hot or fresh. We were told the order would be ready in 10 minutes and it was picked up in 10 minutes so it should be fresh and hot. The staff were really nice as always but the food was very disappointing this time.

We’ve been coming here for a while, and every time we’re lucky enough to be served by Jose. He’s an outstanding waiter who takes real pride in what he does—always attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Over time we’ve gotten to know him on a first-name basis, and it honestly feels like being greeted by a friend. Jose goes above and beyond to make sure every visit is special, and that’s a big reason we keep coming back. If you’re dining here, ask for Jose—you won’t be disappointed!

My husband and I are regulars at Plaza Azteca. The food is good but it can depend on the day whether you get good service. My biggest peeve is the service around my favorite dish. It is served in a lunch and dinner portion. I would prefer a lunch portion but like today, if you go on a Sunday or 15 minutes after lunch service ends, the waitress we have most often refuses to help me with a smaller portion. This forces me to order a much larger, more expensive (not by much) portion. I fail to understand this. The only difference between the two portion sizes is one burrito vs. 2. I've been fortunate to get waiters who will help me with a lunch portion outside of lunch hours in the past, which leaves me with the impression that it depends on how lazy the waitress is or how much of a tip I need to leave! For me, a waiter who helps me with this is a GREAT waiter! Of course, when it comes time for the bill, they have preset tip buttons starting at 18%. If you aren't happy with your service there is a button for no tip or a custom tip, which I always opt for. My husband and I are generous tipper if the service warrants, but not today.
