River Stone Chophouse

We have been to Riverstone Chophouse several times. This time, however was not up to their usual standards. The pimento cheese was very grainy, no crackers on the charcuterie board. The bernaise sauce on the asparagus was clumpy. Usually upon being seated the wait staff asks if we are celebrating anything special. Nothing. We were indeed celebrating our anniversary. The noise level from the bar was very load at times, unable to carry on normal conversation. A disappointing evening.

I think it was just an off night for the chef's. While my steak was delicious other items had to be returned to be remade.

Will return. Food was very good. Although the filet was a little dry considering it was medium rate

It took an hour to get food. Paid over $600 for cold overpriced steak and drinks. Fruit flies everywhere I was swatting them during dinner. My surf n turf had 1 bite of crab on top. This was such a joke. They should be embarrassed of what they served on Fathers Day. We won't be back! They did provide a free shrimp cocktail to make up for poor service. Our food should have been half off. I'm still upset about it! Was supposed to be a “fancy” Father's Day meal. I'm embarrassed I took my family here! Get it together folks.

Food was very good. Would have given five stars but the waiter was spilling water on the table and napkins when pouring and there were so my fruit flys.

The service was not great, Crab cakes were cold and the steak my wife ordered was dry. Nice place inside but need more attention to detail especially with the prices.

The seafood tower was great, also the fried green tomatoes were better than I find back home!
Ordered both the tomahawk and pork chops, both were fantastic!
Slightly salted, which i did not expect for thr price but overall a great dinner. All of the staff was wonderful, especially the raw bar chef who took time to talk shellfish-

This is one of the nicest upscale restaurants in the area.

First time experience. Compared to some other steakhouses I've patronized, it was a very good steak. I've been other places where the steaks were better, Although I did enjoy the ambiance and the food & Service was very good. 

As a returning guest to Riverstone Chophouse, I’ve consistently experienced five-star service, expertly prepared dishes, and a refined atmosphere that sets the standard for fine dining in the area. It’s been a go-to spot for special occasions and high-quality steakhouse cuisine.

However, this most recent visit left me disappointed and surprised, especially given the restaurant’s otherwise stellar reputation.

To begin, we were once again seated near the kitchen—despite previously requesting not to be placed in that area. This repeated oversight detracted from the ambiance and created a level of noise and traffic that undermined the otherwise elegant setting. Additionally, there were persistent gnats around our table throughout the meal, which was both distracting and concerning for a restaurant of this caliber.

Riverstone has proven its excellence in the past, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. I remain hopeful this was an isolated incident, but attention to guest requests, environmental comfort, and food preparation standards must remain consistent to justify the premium price and expectations that come with the Riverstone name.

The service and food was exceptional. I would always recommend River Stone to anyone that wants great ambience, service, and food. That being said, if anyone wants that it is better when you set a reservation which is what we did. You don't always get the same when you just come as a walk in, but the service and food are the same (exceptional).

I am a connoisseur of fine dining around the 757. I was unimpressed with the food. It was bland with hardly any flavor. I ordered the duck. There were gnats surrounding my table and when one flew into my smashed potatoes and I showed the waiter, the potatoes still weren't taken off of the ticket. I paid and tipped well because the service was good. The ambiance was great, except for the gnats.

Went for my birthday and loved it. Excellent staff including the manager.

Very nice mature place, great tasting food from seafood to steaks and all in-between delicious. If you must check the prices on everything you select, stay home. It's for grown people who like real food. 😋
