I am a manager of a local business nearby and enjoy the food at Skrimp Shack. However, after today I no longer feel comfortable frequenting this establishment. I ordered a shrimp/crab po boy meal with extra sauce. When I arrived back to work I realized the sandwich did not have sauce on it, and I did not receive any sauce. I left work and came back to Skrimp Shack and explained to the cashier that I would like my sandwich remade because I could not reheat it with lettuce and tomato. He went to get the manager. The manager immediately said I will issue a refund. I explained that I still needed to eat and would like the sandwich remade. He agreed to remake it, so I sat down for about 20 minutes waiting. I then asked the cashier if they had forgotten about me. He said the manager issued a refund. The manager came out and reiterated that he issued a refund. I said sir well this is not what we had discussed. He refused to make the sandwich and did not seem to care at all as he walked in the back. I am extremely disapointed with the lack of customer service and professionalism. I am certain this is not how you would've wanted any customer to feel. I would appreciate your attention to this matter. Thank you in advance.

Great food, great customer service, the place is clean
After working a 10 shift from the yard, I'm not cooking so Skrimp Shack it is. I got the Chesapeake Bay Catfish Dinner, and Sandwich The Chicken Strip Sandwich for the family. All the food was bland and the fries seemed not to be done all the way. I haven't been in awhile due to another disappointing meal. I asked for the fish to be fried hard, and it wasn't. The pictures look more appetizing than the actual food. Needless to say, we threw the food away. Wasted $54.00. If it wasn't right the fist time, the second time wasn't going to be better. When they first opened up, the food was seasoned and delicious. Now they just there to get a paycheck, which is sad. The dining area was dirty, trash leading into the kitchen and a bucket of liquid (tea maybe) sitting by the beverage center. I read some of the other reviews and I see the owner responded with a generic response, the smell response on them all and it's obvious HE'S not correcting the problems. Kudos to U!!!

I will start this off by saying that I have generally had good experiences at this location, and today's experience wasn't completely a loss; I just wasn't COMPLETELY pleased. I came in and waited for a couple of minutes at the front because the cashier apparently was in the kitchen. As the cashier walks up, a young lady walks into the restaurant and occupies the register space beside me. The cashier allows this woman to cut in front of me, completely ignoring me at first. I started to say something, but did not want to make a scene, so I stopped myself. Then, when I ordered I asked for a Spicy Po' Boy (Haddock and Skrimp) and was told that the restaurant was out of Haddock. This is fine. I understand this and this particular fact is not the reason for my less than stellar rating. I instead ordered a Big Cat and Skrimp Po' Boy and a side. When I looked down at the order screen, I noticed that my Po Boy was indicated as being mild. I reiterated that I ordered a Spicy Po' Boy, to which I received the response that, "If you didn't ask, I wouldn't know." First of all, it is generally not a great idea to argue with customers. Secondly, and more importantly, I DID ask for a Spicy Po' Boy from the very beginning. The cashier apparently wasn't listening very well. So I found the comment somewhat rude. I will concede, however, that he may have been tired or exhausted, which is only human. Luckily, I received my food, fairly quickly, but when I checked the Sandwich, it had plenty of Shrimp (which was great), but not quite enough Catfish. The fish only filled about 2/3 to 3/4 of the bun. This, in and of itself, is not a huge deal, but on top of the somewhat lackluster customer service I received, it made me mildly upset. I will still patronize this business from time to time, but I feel like this customer service experience should have been handled better.

I travel the country and try fish tacos everywhere I can get them. Y'all beat everyone with flying colors, even Barefoot Bernie's on the OBX. Fish portion size and quality of fish makes it. The unique sauce put it over the edge. Yummy!

After ordering over $35 worth of food on Sat., I came today and ordered over $25 worth. After receiving my food, I asked a black lady with her hair pulled up with an ear bud in her ear with heart shaped tattoo on her chest for a cup of ice. She told me, "you're going to have to ask him because I'm busy." I find it funny that she could get all of that out of her mouth, but couldn't hand me a cup that was literally right beside her! Customer service means everything to me and for such a simple task, she denied me a cup. She walked away and came back twice, and still made me wait for the man ringing up food to simply hand me a cup. I can't see myself patronizing a business with such poor customer service in this economy. Please train employees to not be so rude and act like customers are beneath them enough to make them wait for someone else to give them something that was right beside them. Instead of telling me I had to wait, she could have quietly handed me a cup.
