One of the best meals we've ever had on Granby Street. My husband ordered the Coconut Curry Shimp bowl, which he said was outstanding. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap, which was actually on a grilled wrap, stuffed with tender grilled chicken breast, crispy bacon and a Chipotle mayo with just enough spice! Waffle fries were fresh, hot and crispy. Even the iced tea was better than average. Service was fast and friendly. The dessert menu looked delicious, but we were too full! We highly recommend this restaurant. We'll be back!

The burger was amazing just a little pink like I like it. The waffle fries were seasoned to perfection or too salty just right said baby bear. I will definitely put this on a monthly rotation.

The food here was absolutely amazing! If you are a foodie definitely come here. It’s rare my husband and I love food places and this place is definitely part of our top list. Come we you will not regret it. If we are ever back in VA we will most definitely stop by for another round. The server was absolutely adorable took care of us fantastically well.

It was my first time in Norfolk and my last time ever looking for a place to eat to there. The General Public is going to be my go-to spot when I visit the Tidewater area. The service was amazing. Cierra and Miss Antoinette gave service with a smile. They were very accommodating, attentive, conversational and funny! The food was amazing. I had the salmon bowl. Literally, the best salmon I ever had and I don't say that lightly as a pescatarian. Another highlight, Chef General came out - greeted us and thanked us for coming. Again, top-notch service and 5 star meal. Whether you're in Suffolk or Norfolk or door-dashing --- The General Public is the place to be! I hope they open a spot in the DMV in the future!Lastly, there's street parking, but I parked in the garage right down the street.

Wow! Super clean restaurant with wonderful service (Sierra and Melinda) and FANTASTIC food! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! We had the Brunch Burger, Loaded Waffle Fries and I had the Club Sandwich with the FRESHEST cole slaw I’ve ever had!!! The chef is the owner, and the quality is 10/10!
The best atmosphere and greatest food ever. I recommend The General Public to anyone for the desire of great food. All of their food is delicious and flavored for perfection. The wings is definitely the best I've ever had. Thank you for your passion. Will be back soon.

Pure luck, finding this place for lunch. We were literally looking for another lunch place, couldn't find. Owner-chef came up with the perfect lunch, jasmine rice bowls topped with grilled chicken or shrimp, a big serving of vegetables, and wonderful sauce. We wanted to try them all! Servers said their burgers are also great; so glad they mentioned that. With a semi-open kitchen, General Public has a small town diner vibe. I just moved to Suffolk, and I did not know if was such a food scene! Several of my neighbors are new to Suffolk and I can't wait to compare notes about eateries.. when I tell them about this one.

We are new to delivery services. The food was pretty good. The protein serving size was maybe a third of a chicken breast for the Thai Bowl. I did not realize how much the menu prices were jacked up by the restaurant for using delivery services. Two puny sticks of chicken satay was jacked up $2 over the menu price of $8. I won't be ordering from The General Public or going there again.

We had the Black n Blue & 2 Philly Burgers. All were hot and flavorful. The staff were warm and inviting! thank you Ciara. This will be our new place for a good burger. We're looking forward to trying other items on the menu.Parking: We parked in the free parking lot, however, there s street parking.

The food here is so good. We keep going back for the waffle fries with an assortment of seasoning. The grilled chicken wrap with chipotle mayo is a must to order. Sooooo frickin good. Oh and the lemonade is freshly squeezed. Awesome drink to compliment this excellent dish. ?Kid-friendliness: They have a great kids' menu.
