My first time with our family everyone suggested the chicken and waffles along with side of scrambled eggs and side cobbler style seasoned peaches. And it didn't disappointed at all. Portions are very large needed to go boxes. Will recommend to others.

Perfect drinks, the people working were friendly and it was a nice place to sit for a late lunch.

Big portions, great food and they play episodes of Gillian's Island on the tv. I love everything about this place. The rubenesque is awesome. Also try the burgers or any of the entrees. Leave room for dessert.

Outstanding service and the decor gives it a nice home feeling! Absolutely love the assorted coffee mug idea. The food comes in huge portion's but nothing here is your processed bag food. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and the sausage and eggs had great seasoning. We found a new favorite breakfast joint and can't wait to go back!

Excellent food. Had the very delicious pastrami with a savory pesto. This will certainly be part of my lunch rotation.

My mom wanted a good chicken salad sandwich. I thought about Turnip Sprout since we hadn’t tried it out yet, so we went there for lunch. The waitress was friendly and hospitable. My mom enjoyed her sandwich and her lobster crab bisque, and I enjoyed my Pesto Chicken Sandwich and a side salad. The tea had the right balance of sweetness and earthiness. The dessert was phenomenal. Try the maple butter bundt cake if you have a sweet tooth. We’ll be back to this restaurant soon!

The Asian salad is soooo good! The ginger is just perfect - flavorful without being overpowering! Great interesting food with a new twist, all served up in trendy downtown Suffolk.

Visited for my moms birthday brunch! She had previously been and loved their pancakes so she wanted to revisit! It was a fairly busy Saturday but we were early enough that there wasn't a wait but they filled up pretty quick. I got the southern fried bowl with fried chicken and a biscuit on the side and it was perfection! The biscuit was buttery and flaky. They offer a great variety of entrees and the drinks were super fair priced, plus I love that they were able to do a virgin drink!

I've been here multiple times and it's always so good. I try to get something new every time, but that lobster bisque is so good that I just can't give it up.It's under the same ownership as their sister resturaunt, the Mod Olive/The Plaid Turnip, and you can tell! Their portions are absolutely giant. I can always count on leftovers.Service is top notch and efficient! Definitely a great place to go for a quick bite to eat OR relax and take your time.

Turnip Sprout is under the same ownership as the Plaid Turnip. It my first time eating there & it was wonderful. The hot Spicy Pastrami sandwich was perfect. I chose the sourdough but there are many other bread choices. It was a very thick sandwich with cheese, spicy mustard, pickle & onion. I love savory & this was definitely savory. I ordered the steak fries but also tried the hand cut chips which were wonderful. I would definitely order it again. It was $11 so a great price for the portion for sure.Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere for kids.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! I got the honey cashew chicken salad crossaint sandwich with steak fries. I got some garlic aioli to go with fries which was delicious as well! Got some strawberry Margaritas too! Will definitely be coming back here to try out their other sandwiches ?

Took my mom to lunch. Short wait, they were very busy. Ticket time of over an hour. Food was good but not great. Order came out wrong but was corrected. I have been here 3 times now and don't want to sound negative. Just not the experience we have had in the past.
