After stepping into the Vintage Tavern in Suffolk, VA, I was immediately enveloped by its warm and inviting atmosphere, where rustic charm meets a touch of elegance. The decor, with its soft lighting and vintage accents, sets a perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The menu is a delightful mix of traditional Southern cuisine and innovative dishes, all crafted with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. The beef tenderloin was a highlight of our meal, cooked to perfection with a juiciness that melts in your mouth, paired beautifully with a side of their signature Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese. The cheesecake, our choice for dessert, was simply divine--creamy, smooth, and just the right sweetness to round off the meal. The Vintage Tavern's craft beer selection added to the tavern's charm for those who enjoy the craft beer scene. Service at the Vintage Tavern was beyond reproach. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive, making expert recommendations that enhanced our dining experience significantly. Their professionalism and warmth made us feel genuinely taken care of. A unique and standout feature of the Vintage Tavern is its capacity to host large parties upstairs. The upstairs area provides a spacious and versatile venue ideal for celebrating special occasions, gatherings, and events in a private setting without sacrificing the ambiance and culinary excellence the tavern is known for. In conclusion, the Vintage Tavern is not just a dining destination; it's a venue where memories are made. It's a distinguished gem in Suffolk, VA, that promises an exceptional dining experience. The Vintage Tavern truly lives up to its reputation as a place of hospitality and high-quality cuisine.

Went there tonight for our Anniversary! It was a wonderful experience, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the food was fantastic. If you like Martini's you have to try the Tavern Martini, with the best olives I have have, blue cheese and bacon stuffed. Only reason not a 5 is that I believe all places need to strive to be better, even the best!

Chandler made her usual awesome drinks and the pretzels, fish, and flatbread were delish. From the service received to the dessert we took home, our visit did not disappoint. Many thanks to the Team working in the bar!

The restaurant is beautiful, the whole venue is warm and has a upscale mountain tavern feel. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The food selection has something for everyone. The food had a good array of flavor without being too sophisticated that it doesn't meet the comfort of a tavern style meal. We enjoyed it!!

Outstanding winter chili! Elk & broccolini are not easy to find, both were prepared to perfection. Flawless service and a cozy atmosphere, ideal for special occasions!

I made reservations for 7:30, arrived at 7:20, and since our table was not ready, we had to sit at the bar until our table was ready at 8:10. It took the food much longer than expected to be brought to us (about an hour) and the waitress kept apologizing for us having to wait. I ordered the route 17 pig platter and the pulled pork bbq was good, the ribs were dry and flavorless, as well as the pork belly that seemed to have no taste to it at all. My wife ordered the pork chops which were ok, but not great. Then after having to wait about 45 minutes for our table, it seems like we were being rushed out so the next customers could use our table. No, I would not return or recommend.

Excellent food, ambiance, and service. Vintage Tavern is our "go to" place for special occaisions. They never dissappoint. They can be a bit pricey especially with their Prix Fixe menus. Even so, the food and service is worth the cost if it is in your range.

The restaurant is very nice. It was a little loud for fine dining. The food was all excellent and well prepared. The portion sizes could be a little better for the price that you pay.

Very nice and upscale place. We made reservations for the dining room, but were sat near the bar, which took away from the atmosphere while dining, but overall, it was very nice.

Desserts could have been better if the ice cream was beside a warm bread pudding instead of on top. The creme brûlée seemed a bit too cold. The Mac n Cheese was a bit spicy my daughter said. They should offer a dinner salad size dinner salad. I ended up with a lunch size and was probably charged for a lunch size.

Food was excellent. Service was average. Took over an hour to get our entrees. There was a wedding party upstairs, so maybe it was a staffing issue. We will be back - hope to see improvement in service.

Excellent Restaurant, We dined as 4 guest and everyone was pleased with all the courses of the meal. Elk was very tender and Juicy as were the steaks, cooked perfectly. enjoyed the service and never felt rushed.

The food was well prepared. The scallops were good but the portion size was too small. The ribeye was prepared well. The wedge lettuce was brown at one end. Unfortunately this restaurant charges a surcharge to use a credit card. This is cost shifting onto the consumer under the pretense of elevated costs.

Great restaurant to celebrate. Classy atmosphere, but not stuffy. Everyone treats you special from the hostesses, waitresses, table assistants ( bus boys?). Not a huge selection for entrees, but enough of a variety. The food was excellent as was the presentation. A little pricey, but worth it.
