An absolutely beautiful 3 day get-away!!

This place was absolutely marvelous, I loved the beautiful view from my room and the really nice personal touches like the stack of firewood for campfires and the little towel bear. The farm and lodges had a really convenient location from Charlottesville and Shenandoah national park, I could have stayed a week and would have been entertained by different activities everyday. My favorite perk was the farm animals that were very friendly and obviously very well cared for. Thank you Graves family for your wonderful hospitality and abundant amenities.

Such a great place to disconnect from regular busy life and relax/bond with friends, family, and nature. The Dogwood cottage was clean and spacious, had beautiful scenery of the mountains and the horses just outside. Highly recommended.

My family and I stopped in here yesterday for lunch and received the very opposite of a warm welcome. It seemed to be odd to the wait staff that we didn't have reservations and weren't staying at the lodge; the website had not communicated that either things were required in any way in order to dine there. Once we were seated and had been told someone would be with us soon, we watched several staff members walk around (it was a couple of minutes after 1pm and the lunch crowd was significantly thinning), and we waited about 8 minutes for someone to come to us. We ended up leaving and getting some amazing sandwiches (and a warm welcome) at the Graves Market and Deli. I gave two stars because one lady in the main office area was friendly, but the rest of the staff need some serious customer service training.

WOW, where else can you camp with your dogs and your horses on such beautiful property with miles and miles of trails. Then, come back to an amazing supper at the lodge without needing to lift a finger !!! We have been here time and again, and will keep coming back !!!

me and my fiance took a day trip out for our anniversary and did the trail ride which was a truly fun adventure and incredibly affordable the whole experience was awesome everything from the scenery to the knowledgeable and pleasant staff I had never ridden before but they had me feeling comfortable in the saddle in no time. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get away and try something new on a weekend day trip.

My cousin and I visited the Graves Mountain Farm and Lodges in February and it was honestly one of the best trips of my life! Beautiful views, & saying the staff was AWESOME would be an understatement . The Graves stored that had closed re-opened just for us AND delivered the beverages to our room ABD put them away in the fridge. The food at was delicious , we spoke directly with the main chef. The Blue Grass band, then starting the fire pit for us while were allowed to participate with the band. I honest couldn’t have enjoyed myself more . My only regret was that we couldn’t stay an additional night because I had to return. Do yourself a favor and go visit as soon as you possibly can!

Loved the mountain vibe in the main lodge.Huge rustic fireplaces, vintage pieces, and activities for kids & adults alike.Buffet style food, home cooked and bountiful. With touches of history throughout.

Graves Mountain Lodge Dining! This was our first time as a family coming to Graves Mountain Apple Festival! We had made reservations but ended up going to eat sooner and were able to be seated quickly. The mountain views are gorgeous, and the festival was a blast! There were some younger staff members who seemed lost at times when up at the checkout counter. Others kept rotating out food, but the serving utensils needed to be cleaned between rotations. Overall the food is good, but the corn bread was dry like a desert. Highly recommend the fried chicken! The chicken is crispy and a light breading treatment. I had the hard cider which wasn’t anything special for a $9 glass. It was $25 per person for the buffet.

Parking: There is plenty of parking but it is on a high angle slope so be careful if slick or snowy!

Kid-friendliness: Buffets have a lot of variety even picky eaters will enjoy this!

Incredibly disappointed. Went apple picking. So expensive, apple orchard was disgusting. Cow poop everywhere, feet from the “fresh” apples. NO apples. They were all brown and black, full of bugs. Kids are “free” to get in, but they charged them for literally every single thing. Jump on hay-$5, moon bounce-$5, hayride-$5, maze-$5 ride a pony-$10 Literally walked for 90 seconds!!!!!!! The grounds were so nasty. Muddy, made kids take shoes off to jump but socks were black. Bought food, dropped it on table because they stacked it funny , requested new one and the guy said “Need another one, they are wasting it.” Bought a $5 Carmel apple, wasn’t Carmel, was candy. Like lollipop. Couldn’t bit it at all. Requested to return and lady got mad at us and was very nasty to us! We usually go to Stribling and will from now on. Never ever again. Super disappointed . Nothing but a money pit!
