We had an amazing day at Tangier island with a really enjoyable stop of this restaurant! My kids rated it “best food ever”, and everybody was so friendly!

Never been to Tangier but came for a short visit with a friend. Food and service were great. Our server was friendly and prompt. Wait time was minimal although there was not many people when we arrived. It was a quiet Friday afternoon.

I had the crab soup which was recommended by someone I ran into at the air strip. Also had the flounder sandwich which was good, too.

Hope to visit again and try some other things on the menu.

Went for a later dinner (~1840) and was surprised by how packed it was! They seemed short-staffed but service was still attentive nonetheless. I got my food pretty quick and it was solid, no-frills seafood. The shrimp and mussels were fried well and tasted fresh. I would have really liked a sweet tea option (they only have unsweet) but other than that I have zero complaints.

While visiting the island we ate lunch at Lorraine’s. Food didn’t take long, and they were busy. Food was delicious. A must stop by if you ever find yourself in Tangier.

Kraft macaroni and cheese is not something I expected to pay $38 for a side on the crab cake that I got from the crab capital of the world that was filled with bread. The softshell crab and coconut shrimp was good. Took 45 min on our small 2 hr window. Southern Maryland is better

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant! The food was spectacular (I had broiled flounder, amd green beans), the waitress was very nice and attentive, and it was served in a reasonable amount of time. We will definitely be back on the next trip!

This sweet little island eatery will fill up quickly as boats arrive. I would suggest getting a table and then touring the island afterwards. Also be sure to check their hours. The menu includes appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees and a menu for kids. They take reservations for groups of 8 or more and give a 10% discount for military. They accept cash or credit, have reasonable prices and a friendly staff who hustles and works together. If you want a piece of Smith Island cake order it right away. When it’s gone, it’s gone!

How can a seafood restaurant have the WORST crabcakes I have ever had? 18.95 and not even a side included. It was all filler, no seasoning and not a lump of crab to be seen. The special was a crabcake sandwich and a cup of soup for 25.50. After I ordered I realized it was the exact same price seperately. How is that a special? The creamy crab soup was watery, had 2 pieces of crab and barely lukewarm. No sense complaining because tourists on the ferry are in a rush to
eat and the food takes a while to come out. I hope the rest of the menu is better but I would try the shack down the street.

Only restaurant that is still open on the island. Fortunately, it is top notch. Great seafood and daily specials. Enjoyed it very much.

Ordered the crab cake sandwich. Shared crab dip with the table. It was all that you could ask for. It was simply that - a crab cake sandwich with no filler. It came on a bun with a side of chips. I did add some tartar sauce to the sandwich. I also order the chocolate Smith Island cake ($6.50). Server was great and attentive. The atmosphere was lively. It does get packed fast. Went to lunch around 11/11:15 am. If waiting for a table, expect to wait 15-20 minutes.

If you're on Tangier you have to get crab in some form. My wife had a crab soup and I enjoyed a hot crab dip. Both dishes were amazing! They also managed to produce a tasty sweet potato fry with a crispy exterior.
