Almost there yup definitely ALMOST there done..I don't usually do reviews but this time I had to serve slim to not existing had to wait 10 min just to get cream in my coffee they ran out of ham on a Saturday morning and was not busy at all ... ordered the biscuits and gravy the gravy was cold and looked like it was warmed up in the microwave overall I can see why they are up for sale I'd give a negative star if I could

Stopped in as it was a good spot to meet my staff as we “were almost there”….. picked randomly due to location but will be back because of how they fed our soul. Highly recommend ! Also check out the display cabinet, there are some real gems in there, picked up a great gift for my wife !

This place is Awesome! You have to stop here on your way to wherever you are going. I have been here twice this week. Highly recommend the pork BBQ with the sweet potato fries and the country fried steak with the Old Bay fries. My friends got the chicken tacos and the rockfish. Delicious!

Rarely do I give a five star review. It is saved for very unique experiences and places. It is for places that bring value not only to the larger community but the smaller community as well. This is one of those places. We walked in for breakfast And immediately felt welcomed, and it was cozy. Home cooking at its finest you could tell that cast-iron was used, which is delicious for the home fries. The pancakes smelt heavenly. Coffee was brought out in a homestyle mug that felt like grandmas. The coffee was very clean and crisp. we will be coming back as long as we can and as many times as we can.

We went there for the first time today and we will definitely be back. We were greeted and sat immediately, drinks came quickly. We both ordered burgers, and they were huge and delicious. The sweet potato fries were also tasty. The best part, the lady cooking, I assume may be the owner, came out and greeted us, thanked us for coming, was genuinely appreciative of our business. The restaurant is kind of small but the atmosphere was nice.

The restaurant is kind of small and the waitress directed us to sit at a table that was close to the kitchen in a basically empty restaurant instead of telling us to sit wherever we wanted. The service was kind of strange and the food is mediocre and there was an offensive comment written on the menu board about Joe Biden. when asked about it the waitress commented that that was usually up there. We definitely won't be back
We really wanted to like this place but we would never go back. It’s small and pretty cute. They have a stupid menu item called the Biden Burger that is 51 dollars and says it is a one ounce with an old bun and old tomato. Did not try it because it also has a mandatory 51 dollar tip. By this you’d think that the server wouldn’t feel entitled to a good tip despite her lackluster service. The 6 items all showed up separately over the course of about 5-10 minutes. She brought someone a coffee instead of an iced tea but still charged us for the coffee that nobody ordered or drank. She didn’t know what cheese was available on the burgers (meaning whether cheddar was an option-she had to check and I don’t know if she did but I didn’t get cheddar and she never came back to ask if Swiss was ok). The chicken club is horrific. Somehow the chicken was very hard and difficult to chew. Burger was bland and dry. Also no kids menu sized burger available which is annoying considering they are supposedly concerned with rising costs for families to go out to eat. The people we were with generally liked their meal but I was not impressed and would rather support the many great restaurants in Tappahannock.

Don't let the location fool you. Great little diner with friendly staff and delicious fresh-cooked food. We had fried bologna (see pic), potato salad, turkey-bacon melt w/ seasoned fries. Well-worth the visit. We will be back!
