Unfortunately, the Front Porch on Main has gone out of business according to locals. We were so disappointed to find out when we were in town last week, we tried to make a reservation for dinner, but no one answered the phone. We stopped by the restaurant and there was just a paper on the door saying Closed.
Been here 3 times now. The food has been great every time. Reliable and delicious.
We had an early lunch on a Friday afternoon before Christmas and arrived at opening. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Had the burger special and fries. Both were very good. It got busy after we arrived and there was a large private party, but the staff worked hard to keep everyone refilled and get the food prepared in a timely manner. The building has been restored beautifully and we enjoyed the Christmas decorations. Would definitely return - would like to go back in warmer weather and enjoy the porch!

Went to eat a late lunch/early dinner before the Christmas parade. We were seated quickly and served in a timely manner. Fries were excellent, my son said the grilled cheese wasn't great, but it did suffice and was ok. My daughter and I got the same burger (The Irma, I believe) and asked for no tomatoes and to be well done, which means to me, no pink in the meat. What we got were burnt burgers with tomatoes. They didn't taste good since that's all we could taste. I did tell the waitress, and she did get us newly made burgers. They were really good the second time, still had the tomatoes which we took off. I don't like being wasteful, but sometimes it happens. Staff was pleasant, and the place was clean, I would eat here again.

The food is fantastic. I got the chicken salad sandwich and onion rings. I was able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Inside seating looked very quaint. The portions are huge

Looking for good food? Congratulations! You found the right place!
We had a party of ~ 20, even with everything made in house, they 100% knocked it out of the park! Much appreciation for Ethan serving 4 tables at once, thanks mate!

Drove from Richlands Va to Tazwell Va and ate lunch at the Front Porch on Main. The interior walls are filled with local artist art work all of which are on sale and create a great warm atmosphere. The place is very clean and the waiter we had was great. The food was delicious and the portions quite large for a reasonable price. What’s great is you can eat inside or enjoy your meal out on the Front Porch. I will be coming back in the future for dinner.

We brought a large group of 20 for dinner to the Front Porch. My choice of entree, Whiskey Glazed Pork Tenderloin, was bland and flavorless. (I left two of four not-so-tender loins on my plate.) My wife got the Grilled Salmon with Mojito Butter. Oddly, her salmon was equally as bland and flavorless as the pork. The other three at our table had steak. Those seemed to be OK. The waiter was good. It was a hot day and the air-conditioner was not working. The worst part of the experience was the attitude of the man whom I assume was the owner. When our group arrived at the time of our reservation, we found that we had not been made aware that the group would be served upstairs. As we had two handicapped individuals, we asked to be accommodated downstairs. We were ushered into the bar, which was fine and appreciated. However, despite there being plenty of room and three, 4-person tables available, the man commanded that only five would be allowed in this sub-group. We hadn't said anything about a particular number. So, it was odd to be hit with a crappy, bossy attitude from a person whose chosen vocation demands hospitality - particularly in a small, rural town, where smiles and pleasantries are everywhere along Main Street!
