How is this restaurant still in business?! First, I was meeting friends who wanted to do a wine pairing at the restaurant, I myself do not drink, but just wanted to be with them for the company. All I basked for was a glass of water. Then they brought me the food pairing, which I didn’t even want. This plate with hardly edible and very hard to cut or chew food items! When the bill came, since I did not drink, I expected just to pay for the horrid food, maybe half the price, they slapped the full $ 62!!! For a glass of filtered well water, best thing on the menu and the micro hard food! Outrageous!! Who do they think they are?!!! My friends want to stay and have dinner, I did not, but I did want to spend time with them. So I ordered the salmon, it was the driest piece of fish I have ever had, with a piece of pecan nut under it and non reconstituted cherries on a bed of lettuce with butter and balsamic drizzle. I can see why people complain about this place and never come back. The owner / hostess was very rude. They seem not to be human friendly. I surely will never waist my money here again! And since you charged $62 for water, I surely didn’t leave a tip!!!!!!

Great stop on our road trip to wineries. Bread is so good. Had the branzino which was delish. Our waiter was excellent on 11/20. Had great gf chocolate pound cake with cinnamon gelato. Sat by the heat register so it was perfect spot.

We had a wonderful dinner at Girasole last night. The food was delicious and the portions ample. We had the brick chicken, trout with pistachios and veal cutlet Milanese. Each entree was beautifully presented and tasty! The house-made chocolate gelato was like eating frozen chocolate. It was fabulous. The service was great and Lydia, one of the owners with her chef-husband Lou, came by our table repeatedly to check on us. We can wait to come back to again have dinner at one of the finest restaurants in the Middleburg area.
Family owned and operated by two professionally trained chefs. A la carte menu changes weekly. Always the freshest local ingredients. Expert service. Full bar offers any and all your favorites as well as weekly specials. Great warm vibe. Highly recommend.

Probably won’t come back. The prices are higher and the portions are smaller. The lasagna is $30 and it had two tiny layers. Looked at Instagram and in 2023 it had three layers. The trout came with four string beans and four bite sized pieces of potato. The Cesar salad was tiny and no shaved parmesan. There was no acknowledgment of my birthday. What I noticed is they cater to regulars.

The lasagna was minuscule and the trout came with four string beans and a few bite sized potatoes. The Caesar salad was tiny and had no shaved parmesan or anchovies. The portions have gotten smaller since we first dined here. I think they want you to order several dishes. You can’t just order pasta and be full. I almost feel like they purposely treat people that are not regulars badly.
Size of the portion was laughable. Looked like it was a child's portion! Food tasted good, but not enough to satisfy. Expensive, but that wasn't that important, portion being so small without any other item on the plate. Pasta with meat sauce.
This is an amazing Italuan restaurant. The staff, setting, and food is a cut above.

About 1 month ago, we held the rehearsal dinner for our son and now-daughter-in-law at Girasole. Guest count was 47. Lydia was a great source of information and guidance when planning the event and it was all beautiful. The food was of course divine, but the service was what really stood out. The staff did a great job of sensing the timing for the entire dinner and we all had a wonderful time. Thank you so much Lydia and all!

We were one of two tables yet service somehow still seemed a little inattentive and they still required a credit card number to make the reservation. Oddly, our server insisted on ordering the entire order (appetizer, salad, and dinner) all together, stating it was a “rule” in the restaurant. The ossobuco was good. The short rib tasted like pot roast. Maybe we caught them on an off night.
