Gluten free baked goods, excellent Pipin cider, good views, and Harvest Host. This was a great find
As always the employees are helpful and friendly. There is a good selection of apples to pick or to buy pre picked. Many cider choices and a beautiful view of the valley below. Unfortunately the peach crop was ruined by frost this year so no peaches were available. Even so it's a very good place to visit.
Went apple picking and it was wonderful for our 1 and 3 year old boys! There were tons of apples on the trees that were perfect for filling our bag. We filled a $15 bag, which was 1 peck, and it was a great size for us. Plenty of apples for snacks and to make some apple sauce with. Afterwards we got one of the cider slushies, very delicious, and sat out on the patio to enjoy the view and the beautiful weather. We had a great time!
We love photographing at Showalter's! From a beautiful wedding in 2024 to several engagement sessions and upcoming weddings, every season and moment there has been perfectly picturesque, truly a photographer’s playground! We hope to return again and again!
Good Cider
Came here for a wedding, the location is very beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly. Thanks for a wonderful time!
Very friendly folks, beautiful views, tasty apples and ciders!
My now wife and I had our Nov 2024 wedding at Showalter's Greenhouse. Showalter’s was one of two venues on our short list, and we’re very glad we decided to go with them. We wanted a mountain view during the ceremony and the terrace was absolutely perfect. The greenhouse is gorgeous and looks amazing both in person and in photographs and was the perfect backdrop. We served cider and apple cider donuts and our guests loved both. It felt so unique and special! Working with everyone at the venue was incredibly easy, and they were so kind and welcoming to us and felt like they really wanted to make sure our day went well.
We booked all of the AirBnBs on the property and would definitely recommend doing so. The “bridal” suite off of the Greenhouse was great for staging and getting a moment away during the wedding, having the extra space for actually getting ready was a very good choice (especially with larger wedding parties and lots of people doing hair and makeup). We also stayed in one of the AirBnBs the night before and afterwards, and being on the property was incredibly convenient as hotels in Harrisonburg are a bit of a hike. The AirBnBs were cute and worked great for our purposes! We stayed in one of the AirBnBs through to the Monday after our Saturday wedding which was great and made it so that we didn’t have to rush getting everything out the morning after the wedding.

It's a wonderful place to pick your own apples
The ciders are full of flavor. The views are beautiful. This is our 2nd year going.
I really enjoyed this place and think it can work for kids and adults. The kids can have a blast picking apples while adults can have a great time relaxing and chatting it up. No matter what, this fits everyone. While there you have to try the cider and apple pumpkin donuts. So good.
Very friendly staff, amazing mountain views, and phenomenal apple cider donuts! We had a blast here and can’t wait to come again. (& there was a beautiful dog there too!)
Beautiful location! Ample seating outside for guests to enjoy ciders, donuts, or other items from the on site food truck. The apple cider donuts were fresh and delicious. The Off the Press Cider slushy was nice and refreshing! Apple picking was easy and very inexpensive!
Great peach and apple picking! The cider is also tasty. Clean restrooms. It's worth stopping at if you are in the area!
