I was still hungry after I had the pre fix menu of oyster chowder (too much bacon and grease. Not enough cream) puppy drum was fine but they advertised rock fish with cauliflower and dessert. Had to eat when I got home after spending 150.00. Last time I went to merrior (5 years ago) I left hangry. I guess it's my own fault.

Merroir never disappoints! We LOVE and enjoyed the Old Salts oysters! And both soups, dinner special and the Po Boy sandwich!!! All delish!!! Great service! Nice ambience with the Christmas lights! We're looking forward to our next trip.

We visited Merrior as a group of four couples, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The freshly shucked Rappahannock oysters were outstanding—bright, briny, and perfectly prepared. We sampled a variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. The oyster muffin with its creamy sauce was wonderfully decadent, and the oyster po'boys were a definite crowd-pleaser. The red pepper soup with crab brought a spicy kick that we loved. Our server, Kelsey, took excellent care of us throughout the day, making sure drinks stayed full and food arrived promptly. Her attentiveness made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Merrior for anyone looking for great seafood, great service, and a memorable dining experience.

This was a return visit after too many years. Weather permitted seating outside with an expansive view of the water.Service was excellent. Orderd lunch entrees and of course oysters. Meeroir arguably had the finest oysters in the area. Great meals in a beautiful setting. Thankful for November weather allowing outside dining.

This restaurant was on the daughter of my heart's bucket list. We completely enjoyed our luncheon there and the wine suggestion from our lovey wait staff was fabulous! I'd love to return again and highly recommend you to go there as well. 💙🎉✌🏽
I'm editing this as we returned on Nov 1st this year (2025). My sweetheart got a nice plate of shrimp. My steamed clams were pretty tough but I was hungry so ate them. One clam was really squishy and I was about to spit it out when it slid down my throat. Big regret the next day! I woke up early and RAN to the bathroom. Vomited and other end too, both overworking for all day and most of the next. Miserable!! Also, it was cold, so we were seated in this white, sterile but dirty looking room that was in no way what one would expect in a place with prices like this! I later found out that there is a nice bar inside that we weren't offered a seat in. What a huge disappointment in the whole experience. With a bill approaching $200.00, we both expected much better. Beware of clams!! 🤢🤮😝😝😝
