4 miles outside of Zion Crossroad is the little community of Troy. There's not much there, so even with GPS it's easy to drive past Pa Pa Jim's as it's tucked down off the bend of the road. It's a simple, local ice cream stand with some outdoor seating. In addition to soft serve, hard served flavors and specialty ice creams, shakes, sundaes and Italian Ice are offered. It's a popular place; open seasonally and from noon to 8 pm daily. We purchased a kiddie cup of twist soft serve w M&Ms & Oreos and a kiddie cup of Sea Turtle made of salted caramel and chocolate shaped turtle infused with caramel. Really good tasting. The $1.50 additional charge per extra topping is steep, especially when added to a small cup. Our $3.52 suddenly became $6.52. Oh well...

Wow big portions. The Sunday was huge and the small cones I ordered for my girls were bigger than they could eat. The server was friendly and the ice cream was really good. The atmosphere could use some help. One of the benches has a broken seat, the grass is massively overgrown, and the outside could use some good cleaning. Ignoring the outside appeal, the ice cream is awesome.

Parking: Enough parking out front if not busy

Kid-friendliness: Small tables and some kid toys in the back

My husband just went to buy me a milkshake the flavor was Oreo. I’m really disappointed the milkshake tasted like the milk was expired I got my fellow coworkers to try it and they agreed that the milk did not taste right. Try calling the place three times and so did my coworkers and no one answer the phone.

This place was VERY good. A small, local ice cream joint with outdoor seating. There was some covered outdoor seating as well.
The portions were very large. I originally ordered a regular, but then saw the size and opted for a small. I’m glad I did! I left full lol.
We ordered the cotton candy and the sugar free country apple. The flavor for each of them was fantastic. It wasn’t too sweet and was creamy. Coming here was completely worth the trip out. We will be back!! I VERY HIGHLY recommend coming to grab an ice cream if you’re in the area.

Cute little hole in the wall on RT 15 close to Troy Post Office. Pricing is on par with other places. (It is a mom & pop type business. They need our support to continue) Regular twist cone is around $5, and it's huge. Small 6-7 space gravel parking area with quick turn over. You're not staying more than 15 minutes. Be cautious if using a wheelchair, hold onto smaller children, and watch for turning vehicles.
