The empanadas are tasty, but unfortunately, they're fried, making them overly oily and unnecessarily heavy and unhealthy. As someone from Mendoza, I can attest that authentic Mendoza empanadas are never fried. The name of the place is misleading.
What a great spot to grab a bite! I was visiting the mall and stopped by here because of the good reviews. I chose to go with the 2 empanadas with a side salad. The empanadas are on the smaller side but they are packed with flavor. I enjoyed them both equally. The side salad was great. The vegetables were nice and crisp and I enjoyed the vinaigrette it came with. The ordering process was seamless. Nice upscale looking place and food is nice. Flavors and spices make the meal nice. Some places don’t fry empanadas and some do. Don’t serve food with so much oil. At least let it sit on paper towel to absorb the oil before serving. Churros were good.I’ve traveled to Mendoza several times for personal travel and many beautiful places in South America and other continents. Some cultures fry and don’t fry empanadas.
