Excellent dinner and overall experience. We sat at table 23 and had a wonderful server. Can't wait to come back.
The chips and salsa they provide for table is amazing, especially the salsa verde. We also tried the queso with verde chorizo. The queso smelled a little fake and had a very sharp taste but that was the only low point. The rest of the food was fantastic and the drinks were good. Would absolutely return here.
It was a mixed experience. I had the ribeye tacos and the meat was more like chopped steak. Very salty. But my husband thought the enchiladas were exceptional. Margaritas were good. Service started off fine but after the food arrived waiter was non existent. I had to flag down someone to get another drink. For 3 tacos, 3 enchiladas and 4 margaritas, ticket was $120 without tip. I don't have an issue with the amount, just wasn't worth it.
Margaritas were awful - weird aftertaste We had to ask for spoons for our meal. Chips were extremely good, as were the dips. Musjc was very loud
Food was ok, queso tasted just like Velveeta but they limited your dining time and then the service was slow as well. Overall experience wasn't great.
Guac was great The chips a little too thick Beef tacos had a good taste but the beef was like ground meat instead of strips Enchiladas were good Steak tartare had too much sauce on it Black beans good Corn good Atmosphere good Service good Would I go back. I have many times
First, in all fairness, we were a table of nine, but mature and not demanding in the least. Two of our party ordered a bottle of wine from the menu, others ordered beer or mixed drinks. All other drinks were brought, when the server announced that they could not find the wine two members of our group had ordered. He said they would continue to look, and took the meal orders. We waited and were finally told that the wine was unavailable. We ordered a different wine which came after the meals were served. The food was good, but after the meals were brought, the server then asked if anyone would like “beans and/or rice,” which a few did. Well, the beans and rice arrived about the time most had finished their main courses. Why not ask that question when initial food order was taken? Anyway, attractive restaurant, good food, overpriced wine, friendly but confused service. Given the lack of dining variety at CapitalOne Center, we might be back again, but we won't rush!
Overall food quality seemed to be great. Both green and red sauce for chips was a little bland. Chips were hot and crispy. Had steak tacos, pork belly tacos and pork enchiladas. All were very good. Queso was good but our fault, didn't add the chorizo. My hibiscus margarita would have been great had I not picked one with mezcal. Forgot I really don't like mezcal! 😅
Very good food and a fun place. Love to come back in the summer and have apps and drinks outside at their bar!
What a nice restaurant! We enjoyed our lunch and while the food was excellent, the service by the Ometeo staff was superb! Can't wait to come back.

This is probably my fifth time. Each time we go, we come back happy and satisfied. Food is on point. It's a good, on point place to have fun with friends or family
The best quesadillas of all time. It’s a really nice space. Well laid out. Clean nice bathrooms.. price to quality is there as well. It’s upscale Mexican/TexMex

i really like the vibes here and the atmosphere is super fun and vibrant! it's also beautifully designed and i love all the different areas so it's perfect for diff size groups or diff seating spaces. i also love the upstairs area, even though it's not meant for this purpose, i really like it for pictures because it's very cute and also when it's not serving anybody it's good to take pics there because you're not in anybody's way or disturbing anybody which is helpful. as someone who likes to take pics when they're out i definitely noticed this and appreciated it again even though that's not what it's for. the food is also so good and as a mexican it's really hard esp in this area to find mexican food that tastes pretty authentic but i have to say this def lived up to the standards i have from growing up eating mexican classics. only thing i didn't like was the smores, just didn't meet the mark for me they were cool conceptually but just not tasty to be honest but definitely a cool idea. everything else is great but i do wish they had more drink options esp for non alcohol drinkers like me who still wanna be able to have a virgin marg or mojito with a cool flavor. but for a new spot they have great options. what i really came on here for is to leave a review for the best server i've had at ometeo this far, jose m. he was so kind and inviting and truly made my family and i feel welcomed. the past couple times i have come, the servers i have had have been kind of rude and unhappy or not attentive. i was really scared to bring my mexican mom and mother in law here because i wasn't sure if the food and atmosphere would make up for the service which is arguably the most important, but luckily thanks to jose, i didn't have to worry. he was so helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable as well. i hope to see him soon and to sit in his section next time i come! he definitely made this experience fun, and really turned my opinion of this place around!

I went to Ometeo for the 2nd time yesterday and was even more dish than the 1st time. The first time I went I took my best friend and we both thought the guacamole was less than in terms of flavor and the black beans were salty. I forgot that I had been there before and went yesterday with my husband, only to realize it was the same place I took my friend once we got there.
A couple things were disappointing, 1 we ordered the queso with Chorizo and it came out in a small bowl with a tiny bit of chorizo on the top, and because it was I. A bowl and not on a cast iron flat pan, the cheese was cold almost immediately and THIS was $16!!! The Guac again had no flavor, the chips had coatings of salt visible to the eye. SALTYYY, the flour and corn tortillas looked the same, thin and mounded together. I asked the server if they had a Pima Colada and all she said was “no we do t serve Pima coladas” with nothing recommended that may have even be similar. THENNNNN while we were sitting there another customer waltzes in with her dog, looked like a Collie so on the larger side. When in Virginia it’s against the law! I am a dog lover however, who decides to allow dogs into an establishment when there’s food and a law against it. I will not be returning and would not recommend.
