Stellina Pizzeria in Tysons serves authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas with freshly sourced ingredients, baked in a wood-fired oven. The menu includes fresh pasta, salads, and appetizers like eggplant parm and fried artichokes. The atmosphere is inviting, clean, and casual, featuring a modern, cozy feel with an open kitchen where you can watch the pizza-making process. Service is professional and efficient--food is delivered quickly, water bottles are brought without asking when needed, and dirty dishes are promptly replaced with clean ones. Staff regularly check in to ensure everything is satisfactory.
Some of the dishes we liked:
1. Carciofo Alla Romana: Fried artichokes topped with Parmesan cheese and lemon zest, served with homemade smoked mayonnaise for dipping. Crispy and flavorful, this is a great appetizer.
2. Ave Cesare: Their take on Caesar salad is made with organic lettuce, bread crumbs, Parmesan, anchovy dressing, and cured egg yolk. It's fresh, light, and healthy.
3. Lasagna Classica: Layered with ground beef and veal ragu, béchamel, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese, this is a flavorful, authentic Italian dish.
4. Corazziera Pizza: It is topped with provolone, mozzarella, sausage, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and red bell pepper coulis. It is thin-crusted, flavorful, and not heavy yet satisfying.

Such a rude hostess. The place was almost empty but only offered us room outside (windy day). Maybe they don’t like children?? Such a pity
We came here on Friday night, and there restaurant was pretty full already. We ordered a pizza and calamari salad, and both dishes were pretty good. The service could have been better, but since it’s only open for a few weeks at that moment, it’s understandable. We would be interested to come back and try a few more items on the menu.

The food is absolutely delicious, especially the pizzas and the chitarra di pesce. Not all the the appetizers are worth the price, perhaps better off just getting another entrée. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently poor. Once, the server brought out the appetizer with the entrées while the people behind us got their appetizer after finishing their entrées. Yesterday, I received a completely different pizza from what I ordered. Nonetheless, the pasta I mentioned was delicious and great value and the amatriciana pizza was very good.

Our first trip to Stellina was 9/26/25 to eat and chill before a nearby concert. Everyone was friendly and professional. The atmosphere is nice and unique. My friend loved her salmon and veggies. My favorite was the mozzarella cheese sticks - best I’ve ever had! Our server, Stefania (Stephania?) was so sweet and attentive. We want to return!

We stopped in before our show at Capital One Hall. Party of 4 very happy we did. More than just a pizza shop. Don’t get me wrong, we had the pizza and it was fantastic. We also had two pasta dishes, and a chicken dish. Portions aren’t large, so you won’t feel like you’re about to have a sleep coma. But that left room for dessert as well. Very good drink menu as well. We sat outside and other than the laternflies (which they can’t be responsible for) it was fantastic. Must try restaurant. It will be in our rotation for sure. Oh, and you’ll be greeted by Isabella who is gracious and attentive besides being someone who makes you feel welcomed.

Unfortunately everything from service to food was a disaster. Service very slow, brought the pizza and forgot the appetizer. Pizza arrived half burnt, I didn’t want to send it back because I was afraid it would take an hour to make a new pizza.
This place is supposed to be number 40 pizza in the world, maybe they forgot a zero.
An extra star because we all liked the wine.

This was our first time visiting Stellina Pizzeria in Tysons, and we came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with six of her friends. We had made a reservation on OpenTable for lunch after the girls got their nails done at Nothing in Between salon next door.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the manager/owner, who immediately called over our server. I let her know that our party was mostly kids, and she was quick to bring out kids’ menus and get everyone settled.
As expected, the kids were excited (and a little impatient!) while waiting for their food. I explained to them that this wasn’t a typical American pizzeria—everything here is made fresh to order. At one point, my toddler got curious and stood up to see what was happening. As we came inside, we bumped into the manager/owner and the chef, and jokingly I said, “Are you hiring? My son is looking for a job!” To my surprise, they played along and actually invited him into the kitchen.
Not only that, but once the other kids realized my son was in there, they all wanted to join—and the staff graciously welcomed them too! It was such a thoughtful gesture that made the birthday truly memorable. The kitchen was spotless and ran like a perfectly oiled machine, and the Italian dome oven was a showstopper. We also learned they offer kids’ cooking classes, which some of my friends already booked for future birthdays.
Now for the food: it was out of this world. No shortcuts—just authentic flavors you’d find in Italy. The ambience was beautifully done, stylish yet family-friendly, and overall the atmosphere felt special.
Where the experience fell short, unfortunately, was at the most important moment of the celebration. We ordered gelato for dessert and asked for a candle on the birthday girl’s serving so we could sing. The gelato came out without the candle. The kids finished, we reminded them again, and still no candle. It may sound small, but for a child’s birthday it’s a really important detail, and it was disappointing. A simple candle (or even a small complimentary birthday treat, as many restaurants do) would have made all the difference.
Overall, Stellina Pizzeria is a fantastic place with incredible food, a welcoming team, and a unique experience you won’t find at many restaurants. If they can pay more attention to those special details during celebrations, they could turn great meals into unforgettable memories. We wish them all the best and look forward to coming back!

We had high expectations for Stellina Pizzeria, and decided to try it. It didn’t quite live up to what we were looking for, but others may like it. Pizzas are all Personal size at 12”, so we ordered two, with salads. The salads were decent but nothing exceptional, but they came with premium price tags. The main event, the pizza, was soft and doughy, not a chance at any crispness in the crust. The sauce, cheeses and toppings were good however it cooled very quickly and lost its heat after two slices at which point we felt it was like eating soggy dough balls. Finally the cost was off -putting. $ 93 for two 12” pizzas, two salads and an iced tea (they charge extra for each ice tea refill) including the 20% tip. For us, the value was not there and we like crispy crusts, so it was One and Done.

The pizza's dimensions are slightly diminutive compared to standard offerings; however, the quality of the crust is undoubtedly superior within the local market. The piccante variant, featuring a robust spicy sausage, stood out for its exceptional flavor profile and texture.

I wish I had read the negative reviews before the positive ones. The manager and staff require proper training in customer service. If you have a darker complexion, I would advise seeking customer service elsewhere, as the Hispanic staff in this area appear to look down upon such customers, behaving as if they are superior. There was no apology for the delay in receiving drinks and food despite the restaurant being empty. A table that arrived after us received their food before we did. The food was bland and lacked seasoning. When we reported that the pasta was hard and tasteless, the manager responded by saying, and I quote, “I’m not sure if you know but this is fresh pasta and it’s al dente.” I informed her that the pasta was not al dente and tasted like boxed pasta; fresh pasta typically cooks in less than five minutes compared to boxed pasta. Clearly, she lacks culinary training to be making assertions about how pasta should taste. The server appeared unwilling to engage or provide service; if one does not enjoy client-facing roles, it is best to avoid them altogether because customers do not come out to be treated poorly. As someone from the F&B industry, I understand everyone can have difficult days dealing with customers; however, I chose not to leave a tip as neither the staff, manager, nor kitchen showed any concern for the issues raised or made efforts to resolve them. I had to specifically request my check after speaking with the manager as if they wanted to avoid us. I would prefer to visit an Italian establishment with chefs knowledgeable about Italian cuisine. This experience was a disservice to Italian culture given the dry pizza, unappetizing pasta, subpar drinks, and poor customer service. I will not be returning.

Leaving this review due to the restaurants horrible advertising. After ordering from this restaurant, my friend and I received an advertisement in our takeout bag. The advertisement said customers could receive a free bombolini for their birthday. According to the advertisement all you had to do was scan the QR code. After doing so, it basically just tells you to go into the restaurant and tell them it’s your birthday. Doesn’t say you had to dine in or anything like that, so we ordered a bunch of food for takeout and went to pick up the food and the free item. Instead of getting the free item we were informed we had to dine in. The manager was very rude and basically berated us for think we would get a free item (even though that’s exactly what the advertisement said). As we were walking out the door, the manager said, “Happy birthday.. I guess.” Very rude.
On an a more objective note, the food is way way too overpriced for the quality. You could find an authentic Italian restaurant in DC for cheaper.

Stale tasting pizza. Service was mediocre given the price level of this place. Ambience was so so - aspired to be romantic and classy but somehow came across as plastic. Mostly, disappointed that the taste of the food did not even come close to being worth its price.

Great pasta, excellent place to eat outdoors especially with a kid because green space and some fountains right next to the seating area.
